My husband and I have lived here in the Barcelona area for almost 23 years so we don't make it back to the U.S. very often.  However, we'll be going back this summer for a full year.

Norman, my husband, will be studying  in the Northern Baptist Seminary in Lombard, IL and I will be working full time during the coming year.  So there does exist a small possibility that I could make it to the class reunion.  I say small, because I don't know when I will need to start working, or at least training for the job that I'm hoping to get with Head Start.

I have always wondered if and when our class had class reunions.  But, of course, even if they did,it would have been next to impossible to coordinate the dates with the times that we happened to  be in the U.S.  I really would like to be able to attend the one this August, so please keep me informed.

As for what we have been doing in Spain - we are missionaries under Greater Europe Mission, who has their headquarters in Colorado Springs.  We came over to teach in 1982 at the newly founded Spanish Bible Institute here in the town where we still live, Castelldefels, 19 kilometers south of Barcelona. We were there for 10 years and then founded our own ministry department called the Spanish Music Ministry.

Norm and I both had graduated with our B.S. in Music Education in the U.S. and so that was always our avenue of ministry, which has always proven to be an open door for us.

More recently Norm has been the coordinator and trainer of a 250-voice Gospel Choir for the last 6 years.  I sing soprano in that choir.  We have sung to thousands of people, and if you include t.v. - to millions.

At present, I am working almost exclusively with Spain's exploding Romanian immigrant population. I teach them beginner's Spanish,  voice, piano, and I direct a 30-voice Romanian Baptist choir in Barcelona.  We were invited to sing at the 200th Year Celebration for the Sociedad Biblica de Espana, which we did.

Just a few of the highlights of the past few years.  It keeps us young. =+)  We love our work serving others.
