Local Reception

Our reception is very important to us! We know a lot of folks can't make it to the wedding, but we truly want to share our joy with you, which is why we're throwing a traditional and large reception (and an After Party)!

This reception will be just like every wedding reception except that it will be ours and it will be 2 weeks after the actual ceremony. There will be bridesmaids, groomsmen, toasting, dancing with parents, cake cutting, and all the traditional fare - Kevin and I will even re-wear the wedding dress and tux. (After all, how often do you get the chance to wear your wedding dress again?!) There will be a wonderful and huge buffet and all the beer, wine, and soda you can consume. Don't eat lunch before you come!

If all goes well, we'll be able to videotape the wedding and have the DVD playing in the background. It'll be just like you were there, without the sunburn.

You will receive your wedding invitations 4-6 weeks before the beach ceremony. Enclosed will be a reponse card for the reception ONLY. Please fill out and return these response cards ASAP so that we know if we get to celebrate with you on that date! (And so we can tell the caterer as well!) Time: 1 - 5 pm, EST Where: Receptions Conference Center South, Erlanger, KY Dress: Business casual or dressy (Just not shorts and a t-shirt, please.)

Music: Music/entertainment will be provided by the excellent services ofJeff Reynolds with Music By Request/DJ Butlers.

Photography: In addition to those great disposable cameras (so that we can see the wedding from your point of view), we have a good friend who also happens to be a talented photographer taking offical wedding party/family shots, as well as candid shots throughout the afternoon. Check out Eric's work. We'll also have an entertaining little surprise at the reception to ensure you get some good use out of those disposable cameras!

Hotels: Blocks of rooms are arranged at several local hotels. Please go to the Hotels page for information on these, as well as other local hotels and bed & breakfasts.

Transportation: Be on the lookout for Kevin & Michelle in a vintage Rolls-Royce from A Limousine Associates. Gotta love a Rolls! For guests - there is free parking at Receptions. Our recommended hotels with blocked rooms, the Courtyard and the Residence Inn, have a free shuttle that runs to and from Receptions upon request.

After Party : We will have many guests in from out of town and we want to offer something to do in the evening! All of our guests (friends and relatives, local and out of town) are invited to our new house on Sat, Sept 13. The party will get going at 8 pm and continue until we fall down exhausted. Dress is casual. Munchies (snacks) and drinks will be provided. More information is here.
