Grading Policies

1.       Complete heading must be on all work.

     First Name Last Name

     Date

     Page number or Assignment Name

     Hour or Homebase Teacher

All answers should be given in complete sentences.

Assignments turned in with no name will be placed in the recycle bin. Items missing from the heading and sentence fragments will result in lost points.

2. Late work will be marked down a minimum of 10%. Late work may NOT be corrected for a higher grade (see corrections below).

3.       Corrections are permitted on most assignments which were turned in ON TIME (including tests and quizzes) and which students earned less than 70%. Corrections MUST be down on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the original. It is not necessary to rewrite items which were correct on the original assignment. All corrections are due approximately 1 week prior to the end of the quarter.

4. It is the student’s responsibility to collect work after an absence. Students are allowed two days to complete work for each day that is missed. In the event that work is given prior to a vacation it is due THE DAY THE STUDENT RETURNS TO SCHOOL.

Grades are posted in the classroom and updated on-line each Tuesday. Parents and students should check grades for accuracy and missing assignments. Work which is missing on Tuesday must be completed by Friday or it remains a zero.
