February is for the Birds! At least at Red Orchard Park in Shelby County. 

Hope you'll come out to our bird programs this month.  On Tuesday Febraury 2nd from 6-8pm , Joan Brown (retired KY Fish and Wildlife) and Joyce Fitzgerald (KY Fish and Wildlife) will be presenting a program on all we need to know about the Great Backyard Bird Count.  The official date of the count is Feb.12-15, so come out to see how you can help track bird populations in our area.  If you like watching birds from the comfort of your home this program is for you.

Then on Saturday February 20th from 9am-noon, Horace Brown will be speaking to us about Owls and Hawks and their nesting habits.  This proves to be a lot of fun.  We'll take a walk around the park and may even get a visit from a local falconer.
