THE DROW BROTHERHOOD

A City Of Heroes Exclusive Roleplaying Super Group.

OUR DESTINY IS TO CONQUER ALL!

WHAT WE ARE!

The Drow Brotherhood is a growing City of Heroes Supergroup playing on the Justice Server and led by Praetorion. We are a diverse group of players, ranging greatly in age, occupation, and gaming experience. From adult professionals to pre-teen students, we are gathered with only one purpose...to have fun. And, just as we are a diverse group in real-life, we are likewise a diverse group online. We have no limitations on archetype or character level...that is a choice we leave up to the individual members depending on there Caste choices.

The Drow are a race of Ebony skinned, almost pure blackish blue purple skinned Elves. Created by the Teir'dal and laid to rest with the spider god Lloth and demon god Corellon. The Drow are exactly like there brethren, the normal Elves, although they consider it disgusting to be compared to them, you can even call them Dark Elves. Drow hate all Humans, Heroes, Other Villains, Anti-Heroes, and or any kind of living or corporeal being. We befriend noone, although the occasional Undead and Orc may find its way into our Brotherhood, we rarely accept other Fiends. The Drow have been known to ally with NOONE, most of the times they will even fight themselves. The Drow have ebony like skin, silver or white eyes, sickly sharp pointed ears, long frost white hair and are harmed by sunlight, as they come from an area called the Underdark, now the Sewers, the Underdark was once so vile and evil, that not even a trace of sunlight or torch was ever seen in the area. Thus being, all new Initiates must have the second class of a Hood over there head, that will be explained more later.

WHAT WE ARE NOT.

We are NOT Nazis, Satanists, Demonists, nor are we fascists, anti-semites, race supremacists, or hate mongers. The in-game villain groups may or may not be any of those things... but we are none of them. Though we often have fun being Anti-Heroeists (a made up word for being racist towards made up SUPER HEROES) We do not take that any further, we have enough hate in the real world, In otherwords, If you're looking to join a hate group, look elsewhere.

The Drow... are at home in the Dark.

Origin of The Drow in Paragon City:

The Drow have a somewhat long history, but I will explain the basics, here.

The Drow come from a place called the Underdark, which was taken over by the villains and heroes and is now the Sewers. What few Drow are left now reside in Paragon City, Outcasts of society.

The Drow of Paragon City have a mixed history that spans centuries of conflict both above and beneath the surface of the lands. Their struggles with their surface brothers is matter of myth and legend to the younger Races, but to those who lived through it the wounds still burn deep and fierce. The beginning of the rift between surface and Underdark dweller began with the Great Battle between Corellon and Lloth.

It was here that the Drow Culture was forced into the Underdark, developing its own Political and Religious systems to match their goddess, home, and lifestyle. The philosophies of the old world, and the "weak" minded views of their Surface Elf cousins, were discarded as they grew and moved into a new era... an era driven by fanatical devotion to their goddess, Lloth, paranoia of their fellow Drow as they struggled amongst the Houses for positions of favor in her worship, and the systematic destruction or subjugation of all other races.

Finally the Underdark was invaded by Vahzilok and what few Drow survived banded together above surface, and formed, The Drow Brotherhood.

The Rules:

Like any properly-organized group, we do have rules. Since our SG is based more in fun and solitude, they are quite simple...

RULE 1

This is about fun...DO NOT PREACH HATE! We do not condone racist, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable statements from our members. Any confirmed violation of this rule will result in being kicked from the SG! Anyone seeing a member of the Brotherhood violate this rule is recommended to do two things...first, /petition a dev in regards to the behavior and, second, contact an officer of the SG to report it. We have to deal with enough hate in the real world...we don't need it in City of Heroes.

RULE 2

Be respectful of others, remember, you are in a player run SG, when one person disrespects and abuses the Roleplaying agreement we have, it makes the whole SG look bad.

RULE 3

Harassment of fellow Supergroup members will not be tolerated, Also EXTREME harassment of Heroes, and or players outside our SG will get you kicked quickly. This SG is meant to be a comfortable and fun environment for all involved. Any such harassment (including threats, insults, or any other questionable offensive behavior) Will result in being kicked from the SG and a /petition being sent to the devs about the behavior from the Entire officer staff of the SG. Any instances of harassment should be reported to a Brotherhood officer.

RULE 4

We are not Satanists. Stay away from any references to anything that could be taken the wrong way. Likewise, do not involve yourself in arguments with other players about politics or ideology. If another player calls you a Satanist (or any other such name), politely state that we are not the offensive term, but are, in fact, Anti-Satanists, as the Drow care for no one, and if we were indeed satanists, that would take away the whole meaning of worshipping nothing. If they continue, prove that you are the better person by using the /ignore command, and if possible, report it.

Want to join?

Please note! When you first come to join YOU will be tested over our rules and history! Study up, New Recruit!

Before Creating you're new Drow, look over the CASTES, right below the Uniform section.

Like any properly-organized group, we do have rules. Since our SG is based more in fun and helping out other players, they are quite simple... Once you have read the above section THOROUGHLY and think you can Adhere to our SIMPLE rules. Please, read on!

Because of the runaway popularity of These type of Super Groups, we may almost always at our group limit of 75 members. Please understand that even if you meet all the requirements, you may not be able to join right away. Make yourself known to an officer, and we will recruit you A.S.A.P. You are of course, more than welcome to hang out with us, and join in any Drow hunting teams, etc, before actually being recruited.

The official Brotherhood is aware of other groups, both on Justice and on other servers who bear the same or similar names/uniforms/etc as we do. These groups are not recognized by the Head Councils as official 6th Column, or as official "branches" of The Drow Brotherhood.

While we hope that these "tribute" groups seek to maintain the same standards for fun and mature online gaming that we do, we can in no way guarantee that they follow our rules, guidelines, or anything else. Questions or comments regarding these other groups should be directed to their respective leaders.

In other words, the only real Drow BROTHERHOOD is on the Justice server. This website was made completely by members of the Justice Drow Brotherhood. It has come to our attention that "tribute" groups on other servers are using this site to instruct their recruits how to meet uniform guidelines. That's just fine, as long as it's out in the open that unless you're joining the Justice Drow Brotherhood, you're not joining the official Drow Brotherhood.

We are the original, and we are the only Drow Brotherhood run by Praetorion.

UNIFORMITY OF THE DROW:

The Brotherhood DOES have a strict uniform and naming policy. Please use the following guidelines to make and name your character before petitioning for membership...

1. All members must be exactly 5 to 6 feet tall. Anything from athletic to muscular is accepted but...NO huge body types unless you are going to be a Demon Caste. Ancient members, however, are allowed different. But you arent Ancient, dont worry about that now.

2. Your name MUST begin with "Drow." The remainder of the name is up to the creativity of the individual member, as long as it is not something that could be considered insulting, inflammatory, or otherwise unacceptable. While many members choose English names, Drow is much more noticeable. In other words, don't choose Mike or Wesley as a name, Choose Atryxadil or Arenox. EG: Drow Arenox. Also, THE, is also a priority as THE often ties together Drow as a title more than a name. EG. The Drow Arenox.

Once again, all of these rules are for NEWCOMERS, Once advanced to later ranks you are more free. Praetorion, The Leader, does not have to follow any of these rules because of his Rank.

3. The following are the uniform guidelines. These are strictly enforced by order of Praetorion and your uniform will be inspected by an SG officer before you are given an invite. No "freestyle" additions will be accepted.

This list is for creating a new character, please note the costume requirements of the Caste you might want to join at a later date is FOR the later date, you do not use those costume requirements, now.

  • HEAD - Hoods
  • FACE - Any natural Face. Pointed Ears. Short Hair, Pure white. Pitch Black to gray skin tone ONLY. With a hood most of this will be covered up, however.
  • HOOD - Hood 2. Drow are pained by sunlight. It must be a FULL hood. All Black.
  • CHEST - Any type of Leather or Flack. PURE black.
  • GLOVES - Must be Small. No (huge or banded). Leather or Flack gloves. All Black.
  • BELT - Metal 3. All Black.
  • PANTS - Leather, flack, all black
  • BOOTS - Leather or Flack, Combat is accepted, but not recommended. All Black.  (no huge or banded boots!)

Because of the slight differences in the choices for FEMALE costumes, you may change things SLIGHTLY. As long as everything is black. Otherwise, female members must follow the same uniform guidelines. This means no high heels, ladies.

Once you have your character, you're ready to log on and join the other members of the Drow Brotherhood! Find a SG member (we frequently gather in Atlas Park below the statue of Atlas) or send a /tell to one of the SG officers for an invite. You can contact me through AIM at EverquestDominat, through ICQ at 288817755. Or though Yahoo Messenger at Reptilicus2003. Or through Email at Reptilicus2003@yahoo.com

CASTE INFORMATION:

As a Drow, You will begin you're Trek as the lowest rank in the Brotherhood, a Shadow. This term basically means the weakling follows the strong. Derived from that is the word, Shadow. Always following its master. Until... That is, you become more recognized. Once you are noticed to the extreme level, to where alot of people in the SG know and respect you, I personally will rank you upwards, into the CASTE, rank. At one time, we had many different castes. Some elder members of the Drow may choose a Caste, in our case, that's you're second rank. However we currently have these active castes. If you wish to create a new caste or resurrect an old one please discuss it with a Officer or higher rank first.

In other words, once you obtain you're Second rank, you're title will be "Caste" Depending on which of the following you choose you're Drow to become, you will choose a new costume type/pattern to show which Caste you are. In other words, when you make you're new Drow, make him according to the Size and looks that you're Caste requires you to be, Example, If you want you're Caste to be Demon Drow, Make you're character huge sized, but still give him the costume requirements above, Dont actually do the required costume for the Demon while making a new character, do it when you're promoted to Caste.

You should create You're Characters powers from the beginning ACCORDING to which caste you want. Otherwords, don't create a electric blaster, if you want be a Dark Melee Scrapper that of a Vampire.

Please note, in order to become any of these Castes you must first take a Caste Knowledge Test, and any extra tests required. In other words, we cant have someone who barely passed his Initiation Test, become his Caste a day after with no skill or knowledge of Drow.

CASTES:

Priest-

Priests have great magical ability. They also may have a Dweregar Familiar. They also are able to heal from a long distance as well as cast many helpful spells in battle. Priests must be Science or Magical Controllers, Defenders or Blasters. Priest are highly respected for their ability to transport the Brotherhood, In other words teleportation is recommended, beware though Preisthood requires you have some skill in Empathy. In other words, If you are going to be a priest, you're Drow should not be bulky. If you are a Priest, you should upgrade you're costume to full purple in color, and you may choose Hood 1, as you are more accustomed to the light now. You may also have shoulder pads.

Vampire-

Vampires must upgrade there costumes to full red until they wish to take the Warrior or Archer test, and can now choose Hood 1. They must roleplay a vampire, this means using their fangs. Vampires also may have a familiar. You must take a test in order to become a Vampire, as the serum to inject the DNA into you're blood isn't earned easily in Paragon City. (In other words if you arent good with you're /e Bares his fangs and stuff, you wont be able to become one) Vampires can have any Origin, and anywhere from 5 to 6 feet tall and anywhere from scrawny to muscular. Also, Mutation is recommended for this Caste.

Vampire Warrior, Tanker, Scrapper, Defender, - Vampire warriors are strong and dangerous foes. They may only be Tankers or Scrappers. If you're a Vampire Warrior, you're hood must be Black, and body all red. You may also have shoulder pads.

Vampire Archer, Controller, Blaster, - Vampires with a deadly ranged attack, archery. If you're a vampire Archer, You must be a Blaster. You're hood must be dark blue with a full red body. You may also have shoulder pads.

Necromancer-

With the dawning of Age of Magic, a new caste has been formed, that of the Necromancer. Necromancers have the skills of Defenders, Controllers, Scrappers, or Blasters. However, you may only have Radiation or Dark powers as Controller or Scrappers, and as a Blaster you may only have Electrical or Ice. Necromancers can speak with the dead, but may be incapable of raising them. You get a Hood 1 now, and may have a pure gray suit. As, Black is the color of death. Whereas Necromancers stand for the exact opposite... Undeath. They may also have shoulder pads.

Werewolf-

Werewolves have an uncontrollable rage that causes them to rush into battle with little hesitation. They have hair all over their bodies and howl at the moon (In CoH case, you must howl a lot past night fall). Werewolves must wear a Orange Outfit and can Upgrade armors to Tech suits, And have Hood 1. They must roleplay a werewolf, this means screeching outbursts, and lots of sniffing. You should talk to the active Werewolves before becoming one. Werewolves MUST be Scrappers. They cannot have swords, though. It is not tactical for this type of Caste to sit back and watch others do the work. They may also have shoulder pads.

Wraith-

Wraiths are non-corporeal beings who float around. They act as assassins, striking quickly then disappearing. Wraiths also make good poisoners (Radiation infections, ETC) and Warriors (Scrappers). Wraiths may wear any color, and can have Hood 1. They may also have shoulder pads. They must role-play a wraith, this means floating around and acting non-corporeal, WHICH MEANS Camouflage and invisibility power sets is a must at level 6, and hover is also Required soon after.

Fallen Paladin-

The First Fallen Paladin of the Drow was Drizzt Do'urden who founded this caste. Fallen Paladins follow the anti-virtues of Lloth and slay the foul beasts that do not. If fighting monsters is not your thing, do not even consider this caste, as redeeming monster souls for Lloth is an important part of it. Paladins must wear Medieval plate armor, gray, purple or black. Paladins should be wearing a full Helmet. The Fallen Paladins use their powers to serve Lloth. Paladins are allowed to be Tankers or Scrappers. They must use some Sort of Sword or Darkness powers, or strength powers. Fallen Paladins are difficult to roleplay as you must act Cursed. This includes gagging, messing up you're type like a drunkard, but not really drunk, and sometimes complete ignoring other people, even other Drow.

Demon-

Demons are always playing evil tricks. Demons are the only Drow allowed to be Huge. If you are planning on becoming this Caste, you must be the largest possible, this means Huge, Height all the way to the right, and muscular all the way to the right, But note, this is the only thing you should change out of the costume section, the rest is for when you become a true Demon. They must also wear Medieval armor or Tech suits, or just bare flesh with lots and lots of tattoos, You must have Red skin, and you do not require a hood, just pointed ears. Demons are a type of possessed Drow. Speak with the current active members about this Decision, as you will be picked out. Demons are pure brute. They focus on survival and protecting the Priests. Therefore you must be a Tanker with some sort of defensive power.

Dweregar Familiars-

Familiars may be of any Caste with any power, you may be a Vampire Archer and have Scrapper, for example, you also need to take no tests, and can upgrade right to this caste if a Vampire or Priest wants a Familiar, in other words, you could have joined 1 minute ago, and become a full casted'd member right away. But you must be the smallest possible size, in other words, a Dwarf, ask any Vampire or Priest if they are ready to have a familiar. They will decide what you are to role-play, but you still must wear the colors of the Caste. Your helm and other skills are up to your master. In other words, You are free to be anything you want. But you are under complete control of you're Vampire or Priest master.

Unborn-

There will be a rare occasion where another Fiend will join the Brotherhood, such as a Ghostly being or a Orc, maybe a Troll. It could even be a Gargoyle or Undead. Whatever the Case, they are completely Separate from the Drow, they are under our Brotherhood, but act freely. (You must follow Drow Rules) The only limitation to this, is if you are a Pre-made character you must look like the creature, you must roleplay like it, and have a good name. A pre-made guy whose level 12, is named Blood Axe, has green skin and horns, maybe is wearing Leather and is a huge hulking tanker, Can join as a Orc or Troll maybe. But a white skinned, short guy named IRUL4JOOBISH whose level 1, cant. In other words, you cant come up to me and ask if you can start a new character as a Troll and join. You have to already have the character and decide you want to join him.

Slave-

Every now and then they'll be someone who will want to suck up. Slaves are personal assistants, they are like the Dweregar, except they help everyone, and can choose when they want to take orders, Unlike Dweregar which must always follow commands. They can act as banks, holding all our influence (bound under the Dev's watch, of course) or hunt for a enhancement. They must take every order given to them, however, and must be workaholics. If a Slave does good enough work, it is the only Caste that can actually become the highest Rank, (lord) easily, however this Caste can sometimes be a real drag. Slaves must wear gray tank tops, and human type clothes. But you must still have off colored skin (in other words no pink or tan skin, Green or Yellow)

The End!

Roleplaying A Drow:

Well Alright! You've created you're Drow, you know which Caste you want to become, you're all set up and ready. Its time to Descend! But... You may be a little curios as to how to actually Roleplay you're new Drow. So, let me begin.

As I have stated earlier, Drow come from a vile evil area called the Underdark, now the Sewers. The Drow is a race of extremely Evil Elves. We consider it completely irrational and disgusting to be compared to any other Species, including other Fiends and Villains. We do not like to intereact with other Species, and keep it at a minimum, however when we do, we are insulting and normally act completely arrogant around other Species. THIS DOES NOT MEAN FLAMING, or any obscene things. We just basically tend to look up other races as un-important, so basic HEROIST, insults is fine. No HATE. WE DONT HATE. I am trying to make this Super group as true as possible to Drow without involving all the Hate they have for people. Just roleplay intelligent, don't act silly, at least around the Heroes... But of course that something any SG basically requires. Just look upon others with... distaste, and you will do just fine in our SG. It will be fun seeing how well everyone can act!

Heres a basic list of Drow language you should use in replace of the English counterparts. Greeting me under Atlas with some of the Drow words the first time you come with you're new Drow may even get you points towards advancement.

Vendui-Hello

Aluve-Goodbye

Siyo-Yes

Nau-No
