A nephew of Harriet Yeary stated in 2001 that she was a mail order bride. The nephew was living on the farm where the Yeary
cemetery is located.
According to the Yeary Cemetery records, George, Harriet, John S, and an unnamed Roy child is buried there. The 1900 census stated that Harriet was a mother of 4, 3 living.
Based on marriage and census records, Harriet and George married in Lee County, Virginia. In 1892, George took his new bride back to Michigan. Sometime between 1893 and 1898 they moved back to Rosehill, Lee County, Virginia.
Based on the 1910 census, George Roy died about 1909. |
