| I come from humble beginnings. My
mother was a stray that gave birth to my four siblings
and me in the garage belonging to my human companion. My
favorite kittenhood memory is climbing up the living room
curtains; my most unpleasant kittenhood memory is being
sprayed with a squirt gun while climbing up the living
room curtains. I can be an excellent friend and companion, as long as I am allowed to do whatever I want whenever I want. I have my own cat door, and I come and go as I please. Period. I am the greatest mouse hunter that has ever existed. During slow times, I might catch one or two mice a week. During good times, I catch one or two mice a day. I eat about half of the mice I catch, and I regurgitate about half of the mice I eat. My other favorite foods include Purina Cat Chow and moths. I have reluctantly learned to respond to a few human words, including no, out, come on, hungry, and Kitty. I always respond to hungry; I respond to the other words only if I feel like it. My human companion has learned to respond to most of my cat words, but he could do better. My dislikes include all dogs, most other cats, most humans, cars, vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, cheap cat food, veterinarians, bad weather, burs, fur balls, tapeworms, and loud music. I have learned to tolerate the music. I especially dislike humans who have an irrational hatred for cats: the bumper sticker Cats Flattened while you Wait does not humor me at all. I enjoy sitting in an open window at night, climbing trees, hunting and eating small animals, and sleeping. If for some odd reason you want to know about my human companion, you can find his Web page at http://www.ivcc.edu/rambo. |
