Passing along a forward from Dave Purcell of Pike 27 (Dave Purcell, George Cunningham, Sean Rhiney, Tommy Huesman, Mark Messerly): ____________________ Acoustic hootenanny at Milton's (corner of Sycamore & Milton) Saturday, April 8 8pm-ish Hey, Apologies for the last-minute notice, but...well, this came together at the last minute. A bunch of us, including members of Pike 27, Clabbergirl, Messerly & Ewing, Iron Butterfly, and more TBD are going to thrown down an old-school hootenanny at Milton's (if you've not been there, it's one of our fave neighborhood pubs, and is run by the inimitable Kevin Feldman). It'll be a loose affair and more fun than doing donuts in a snow-covered parking lot. We'll likely start around 8pm-ish (if people are there) and go until midnightish. Look for new works-in-progress, covers (anything from Pogues to Rush is fair game), and some old faves from our bands. We're doing this as part of the Downtown Hop Around, a new event designed to promote downtown restaurants and bars. Various politicians and local celebs will serve as hosts at different locations around town, and our boy Sean is the host at Milton's. You can find more details here: http://www.downtownhoparound.com/ Hope to see you. Look for a Pike 27 gig sometime in the next couple of months. Cheers!
