I love it. If anyone else missed it, I'm happy to extend the favor. Send an email. I just moved back to Chicago after over a decade in CA, where the last (only) time we got to see the 'dots was on Belew's tour for Here. I loved every minute of the Martyr's set. Best, Jeff ++ psychodots ++ Date: 1 Jun 2005 20:05:20 -0700 From: Depot@psychodots.com < Mike Brown > Subject: Stumblingham cd release party On Saturday March 26, George Cunningham held a CD release party for his first solo disk, Stumblingham, at Everybody's Records. The mostly instrumental show lasted for 30 to 40 minutes. The 20 to 30 people who attended were treated to some great music. Most of the set list was songs from Stumbingham, which is likely the most consistant album I've heard lately. George played some songs solo and other songs accompanied by the other members of the Flammables - John Schmidt on bass, Jesse Feister on drum box, and Chris Arduser, who played instruments ranging from guitar, to mouth organ, to pie plate. From memory and not in order, here is a partial set list... solo: Westchester Furioso Day Job band: Art Carne Missiletoe The Upturned Face Bumblebee Todd Rundgren cover Lawyers, Guns, and Money Brian Wilson cover It is great that this music has found it's way to disk. George has made "An American Album of Unfamiliar Music" that showcases his talents. All for now.... Mary Bosken ______________ Hey All, After a months hibernation, TICKLED PINK is back on top...back on top in June. Covrett, Nyswonger and Powell will be at a new venue - The Viper Room, Thursday, June 2nd. Located at 5th and Plum St., downtown Cinti. I'm told the V. Room is like a small Bogart's (but nicer) with good stage, lights and sound. Parking is well lit and safe I'm told. We'll also be at the Viper Room Thursday, June 30th. Your support at this new venue is appreciated. Friday, June 3 and 17 - Tickled Pink at the Courtyard Cafe, 1211 Main St. Cinti. Never a cover. All shows 10p Thanks in advance [Scott Covrett] ++ psychodots ++ Date: Wednesday, June 1, 2005 2:44 PM From: George Cunningham Subject: french thursday! I'm posting this update from Scott C. late but here's an explanation why TP didn't play Thursday night. Hey Y'all-- Sorry about the last minute e-mail, but we just received word that the Viper Room is having plumbing problems tonight and will not be open-- so we decided we probably shouldn't play. This engagement will be rescheduled, so stay tuned (ha ha). DON'T FORGET: WE'LL STILL BE PLAYING AT COURTYARD CAFE, FRIDAY JUNE 3. Hope to see you there. Please welcome to the stage, the psychodots! Rob: No! Can't you see we're not ready? Introduced a minute or so before they were ready, the psychodots first stop of their 4 show / 4 state tour may have been a little rough around the edges on a few songs, but that didn't stop the crowd from enjoying every minute of their cooking performance. For example, after Dark Inside, Rob said he made about 12 mistakes during the song. Bob then said he learned a long time ago that whatever guitarists do wasn't important. Even though it wasn't Thanksgiving time, Bob advised us to grill a turkey if we wanted. Bob mentioned the 40 foot Jesus at the Solid Rock church. He didn't realize he has a jacuzzi. Rob asked for requests. Someone shouted "Great Communicator" and Rob said "Perfect, it was on our list anyways." Rob and Chris 'argued' about which new album was better. Bob told told them to get a room. Before Clown, Chris told the joke: Two cannibals were eating a clown. One says "Does this taste funny to you?" Here is the set list. First set: Clive Big Love Now! Dark Inside Artichoke Open Window Used To Be Master Of Disaster You Will Never Be Satisfied Moaner Gread Communicator Sad Little Monkey Roscoe Old Fashioned Girl Enough Second set: Zero Terminal Boulevard Walk Thru The Garden Livin' In A Lincoln I Hope It Works Out Clown Freak Malcolm & Marjorie Boneyard Rabbit Manor I Didn't Want To Kill You Mattress First encore: Exaggeration Disposable Man Second encore: Fear Is Never Boring There was no mention of any new psychodots or bears material. Artichoke was dedicated to Mary, the depot's frequent reporter. Will Rob ever remember where he put his slide?
