Recent big events such as MidPoint Music Festival and the Tall Stacks Music, Arts and Heritage Festival showcased scores of world-class local musicians. In the way of a stellar sampling, here are four must-see area acts. Their sounds are different - rock, swing, power-pop, original folk. But they share one common thread. All the musicians have been around long enough to get really good, but not long enough to lose the joy of creation. Catch them while you can - four local groups having fun making some of the best music you'll find anywhere. _______________________ The 4 bands featured in Larry Nager's article are Kim Taylor Band (opening for the psychodots on Nov. 28), Cari Clara, Screaming Mimes and Faux Frenchmen.
