Jim and I went, along with a good friend of ours. Thought by now others who went would have posted but since they didn't, I'll step forward. The 'dots played 2 sets, with a short intermission in between. Clancy's Pub was a great venue to see them at, not exactly packed but fairly well attended. Sincere thanx go Paul Riley and Steve Simon for organizing the show. And making it happen! You two almost stole the show, slapping each other on the back the entire night, as if to say - yeah, we made it happen, we booked the psychodots. The 'dots were great, as usual. I didn't see nearly as many Cincy fans as I see at Southgate or Canal, for that matter but there were enough in the crowd, that I saw a few familiar faces. I'm not good at set lists, please don't ask me that. There were 2 - count 'em, 2 - encores!!! Fans were throwing money on stage, just to keep them playing - crazy, but all true........it was an odd feeling to see the 'dots in a club mid-year. In some vague way, it felt almost like Thanksgiving. Made you want to go home and roast a turkey! Looking forward to November......that's it from my end. Next..... Where were all of the hardcore dots fan for the Indy show ? Steve, I was there! Even spoke to you briefly and thanked you. Thanx again,it was a great time. I was disappointed with the turn out from Cincy too.....I think the price/availability of rooms may have played into it. I enjoyed the race too! Good job with the facilities. Hi all - Tara O'Donnell/Streetjester has archived many musician photos she's taken thru the years. Some you might have seen before ('dots/Bears/'blankets), others I'm sure not. I didn't realize how many you've taken Tara! Thanks for displaying them this way. When you have the time, look thru them all! I guess I'd better respond before I get reclassified : C ) Two deaths in my family within a week kept me from making it to the Indy show, otherwise, I'd have been up front. I did get a phone message during the show from Kevin, but it sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher talking trackside at the Brickyard : C ) Scott N. THE BEARS & RISE AND SHINE 08/18/03 We're not ones to spread rumors but when you hear it from various and multiple sources, it's difficult not to raise a brow. Lately, we've been inundated with queries concerning Ryko Records obtaining the rights to the Bears' first 2 releases (The Bears, Rise and Shine). If this holds true, these gems could be back in rotation for the countless fans who've written us asking, "where can we get the first 2 Bears albums?" Put out the feelers and let us know what you're hearing. To date, there is no mention of this on Ryko's web site and officially speaking, we know nothing. BEARS DVD - COMPLETE 08/18/03 The new Bears DVD is complete. We will announce a release date soon. The DVD consists of a live performance from their 2002 Car Caught Fire tour. No word on its official title. ++ psychodots ++ Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 07:10:40 -0400 From: Mary Bosken Subject: Question..... Has anyone been able to access the psychodots' website lately? I've tried to for several weeks now. No luck! The handmade sign on the front door of Clancy's Pub in Indy had the psychodots name misspelled in such a way Chris had ever seen before. With a hyphen maybe in the name......anyway it was so comical he took a picture for the website. So naturally I keep checking to see if Ashley has it up by now. Now I'm wondering why the site has been down this long.
