I heard the raisins' version of Fear playing in the background while Marty & Joe were doing a pre-game show recently. I found myself car-dancing (come on, you know you do it too) while they were talking, paused to wonder why, and realized I was listening to Fear! Even mentioned he had seen the gripes about "the 'dots greatest hits shows" He played three new ones, my faves..Normal and Trailer Park Bob, great lyrics...catchy tunes and even make ya think some too. Was funny as all get out with some string breaking issues on his Taylor! Must of had a burr or something, but broke two in a row and finally used Lee's acoustic while Chris and George played guitar tech and got it straightened out. Must of gave Pat the sound man fits swapping guitars out. Graveblankets set: God were they loud!.............I loved it! My first time see Charlie Fletcher with them...an unreal voice...great. Bucket: Not usually my cup of tea, don't have too much of a taste for Nashville Blues. But they rocked the Canal Street. Loved the Jammin' with Harold(?) Kennedy, ol' Paw paw can pick it! See you in Indy? Kevin ++ psychodots ++ Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2003 07:52:23 -0400 From: Mary Bosken Subject: "Hot BUCKET of love Summer tour 03!" This just in from a Bucketgram....... I lived in the Indy area for about a dozen years and traveled the state so these may help If this Indy show does materialize (The band has not verified this show), you might want to consider doing hotel searches in this order: Greenwood IN, This is basically right next to the Beech Grove area that this club is located in. Franklin IN, about 15-20 minutes south of the club Edinburgh IN, about 25-30 minutes south of the club Columbus IN, 35-45 minutes South of the Beech Grove area as a final resort you might consider Martinsville, IN it would be about a half hour or so away, but is on U.S. 37 on the way to Bloomington, IN and the Indiana State Police patrol this road heavily These may not show up with some travel sites if you simply enter Indianapolis. If you have a choice make sure the hotel is close to either I-65 or US 31 and in many cases, both. If you don't know the area Beech Grove is in the extreme south central area of Indianapolis. Some of the shots are from Biscuits recording sessions. Right now the set is shy on Nye, but I'm working on it. It's tough pulling some of the frames from the original video because some shots are only a second or two long. The first six are up at, http://whostheguyinthehat.tripod.com/blue.htm Hope you enjoy them. -George- ++ psychodots ++ Date: Thursday, June 20, 2003 9:38 PM From: Depot@psychodots.com (Mike . Brown) Subject: jammin' on main Here is the setlist for the psychodots May 10th show: I hope it works out Big love now Sad little monkey Candy Livin' in a lincoln Moaner You will never be satisfied Clive! Hell Great communicator Human bean Master of disaster Red Mattress The show was great. It lasted about 55 minutes. A couple notes before the show: Someone in the audience asked Rob if the show was being taped. Rob said "That's what the internet is for!" The band wasn't sure if they where going to be introduced. They looked around not knowing whether to go ahead and start or wait. Finally, someone from WEBN (I think) came up and introduced them like this: "Do you remember the Raisins? Do you remember the Bears? These folks as been playing in Cincinnati longer than I've been a DJ at WEBN. Please welcome Cincinnati's own: the psychodots" Some notes during the show: Rob said "the band was going to do a lot of songs about the unstable air mass coming our way." (It had rained a lot that day). Rob changed a line in Moaner - "she looks like a dream" - to "she looks like a bream." Hell was dedicated to all the mothers in the audience.
