Mark Twain's comments about our "fair" city ring true once again, and one can only say, that it's about time. In Psycho Depot Issue 222, you can also catch up on the latest words Mr. Fetters had too say.. Read on, and April 24th, maybe one will say it was a sound day in Cincinnati, for once.. Spring's here, rejoice the moment soon it'll be back in the "Eighties" as the boys' proclaim.. Then again as foolish as that sound we have but four-one more hurdle to cross.. peace, Geno ++ psychodots ++ Date: Sun, 21 Mar 1999 11:08:40 -0500 From: David Ash Subject: Info, pleeeease I missed the Cammys. There was no compelling reason to go other than the Raisins performance -- I'm still shocked that the Graveblankets' "Western Medicine" wasn't even nominated for CD of the Year. I haven't heard the albums that were nominated, so maybe I'm not qualified to say, but I find it hard to imagine that all three outclass "Medicine" enough to have shut it out of consideration. Thank you Mary Bosken for posting the Enquirer articles, as you always do so promptly. But I want more info! What songs did they do besides "Fear"? Was the performance polished, or rough like the Southgate House Cunningham benefit show reunion was last year (the Enquirer was wrong when it stated this was their first reunion, but we all knew that), which they did with no rehearsal? I can't imagine they didn't rehearse for this one. Please, anyone who saw it, post your thoughts and more facts: set list, stage banter, etc. A tape would be nice too! And does anyone have more info on the 97X Earth Day show in April? I took a quick look at their web site and didn't find any reference to it there. Lora said the 'blankets were also playing. Do we know the full schedule for the show? Is it a freebie at P&G Pavilion? Finally, since I obviously don't get out enough, I missed the Top Cats Bucket/'blankets fest last week, so I'd love to be filled in on how that one went. Hopefully they drew a large enough crowd so they can continue to get weekend gigs. Any new tunes debuted? Is "debuted" really a word?
