Amateur Radio Station

Hello. I'm Ted also known by Amateur Radio Station callsign N4YX. I've enjoyed SWL and Audio since my single digit years. My very first gear was a Sears Silvertone 4 Band SW AC/DC "Luggable" Radio (no bfo) and a Sears Reel-to-Reel Tape Deck. I was first licensed in January of 1962 and, like many hams, started out with very modest CW gear - a Globe Chief xmtr & Command Set rcvr for 40m with homebrew dipole antenna and manual T/R knife switch. Much of the hobby for me recently consists of working CW (including mobile) on the HF bands.

Current HF gear: an ICOM 706MKIIG, an ICOM 7000 and a mint set of Kenwood 599D Twins, Matching Spkr & Spectronics Digital Readout.
