My position as a Product Master Data Analyst requires thorough and efficient communication with every department involved with the production and service of all products produced at SentrySafe Cannelton. Communicate with all departments including engineering, production, purchasing, and customer service to insure timely, smooth and accurate manufacture of fire resistant files, cabinets, safes and vault doors all the while utilizing JIT, KANBAN, and lean manufacturing techniques. Responsible for setting up and maintaining product data in SAP, the company's business management software which provided support for all departments that utilize this system. This data setup includes but not limited to material master creation, establishing accurate bill of materials and production routes, all to help provide accurate costing and inventory control.
Complete Custom Ordered Finished Goods in SAP, works directly with "Production Scheduling", and "Customer Service" for accurate requirements planning, and appropriate material requirements.
Through DOCs "Document only changes", BICs "Bill of material Instant changes", and ECRs "Engineering change requests", communicate, document, and implement product changes in SAP.
Utilize product knowledge, engineering drawing experience, ERP/MRP material number, and bill of material knowledge to help expedite and insure physical inventory accuracy annually. Improved the annual physical inventory system and processes to achieve a one day completion time from the normal four days. Enabled the sheet metal department to reduce manufactured part shortages and improve resource planning to maximize workforce.
Tier 3 Technical Service support, by utilizing product and systems knowledge provide customer service and customer technical support assistance in every available way regarding Schwab Fire Resistant Products.
Alternate Production Support Data Entry to complete daily data entry of production reporting into SAP. While performing as Production Support Data Entry all daily production documentation returned from each department is entered into SAP including repetitive manufactured materials, descrete manufactured products by operation step, scrap, and products shipped. Serial number data of each product produced is also logged into the companies serial number database.
