My heart goes out to those in the Lower 9th Ward and I will always be in support of volunteer groups such as the "Emergency Communities" that operation on "the front lines".

However, for those of you who are considering volunteering in the rebuilding process as a church group (which could potentially include our youth), it might be more fitting to work through the Southern Baptist Missions.  Therefore, my recommendation would be to consider Operation NOAH Rebuild.
