Masuhr International Marketing, Inc. (MIM, Inc.) was founded in 1992 to facilitate its core business as an international event planning company. The principal founders of MIM, Kay Lowe and Burkhard Masuhr were uniquely qualified and experienced from their previous professional lives, in both public and private sectors, to create this company. With credentials in Fine Arts, television, education as well as international marketing, import/export, tourism and the hospitality industry the company was able to offer services to the market that remain in demand. Specializing in trade representation and cultural event planning, they were able to apply their combined professional backgrounds and multicultural sensitivity to excellent use for their clients from the US and Europe. The company’s clientele has
included international conglomerates, city, state governments, cultural and
professional organizations and smaller companies on both continents seeking
representation.
Applying innovative solutions and processes, MIM has produced, created or facilitated events for clients such as: Equitana USA, the Gutenberg 2000 exhibit, the HereIsNewYork show, open-air crafts markets in Europe, PR events in Germany for a Kentucky Bourbon company, economic development tours for European trade organizations throughout the southeastern United States and representation of the State of Alabama’s international tourism development program in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Numerous other events were produced and are scheduled.

Man, it was great. Stupid
great. I can’t comment on anyone on stage except Morrie. To me it was
one long bass solo. Morrie is so good it’s stupid. I’m so glad he is my
teacher. He plays the bass like a man. It’s not that electric light
touch, he digs in, all the time. He really gigs
in. And he has a style on every note, he slides, he pulls off, he hammers
on, there are these little grace notes that you don’t even hear, you just
feel. His solos are melodic, but always bass solos. There’s not a moment
when you think he wishes he were playing another instrument. He goes way up
the neck for a high note, but he doesn’t live there like a lead guitar
player, he goes back to the rumble. He’s on the bottom. He has the pulse. He
kills me. ….
