You may feel that you have wandered onto my Needlework page by mistake...
April '09
Someone asked me at work how my quilt was coming along. I had to think – which one? She meant this churndash, which she
had seen me basting.

But this month I finished the center panel of a quilt I am coordinating for the ALABiblioquilters, which will be
raffled at the summer American Library Association conference along with at least two others.

And then there is the Ocean Waves quilt I am making for my sister; I finally resumed work on it after a lapse of 2.5 months.
That one has a pic in the Needlework area, although I've added another row to it since then.

The desire to put a bit of yourself "out there" is what motivates a
person to write their own page.
I described it to one woman as "vanity publishing; this way everyone can
be their own publisher." That's one view of it.
These days that usually means keeping up a page on MySpace, etc. or constantly updating a blog or Twitter.
[we won't discuss FACEBOOK]
I would guess that most of the folks who do those haven't been harassed on the Net much. I got some of that once and
don't care for it. My friends know where to find this page, and that's sufficient.
Some of the links on the left will open in this area. Others will open in a new page,
because they need the full page width. Simply close them to return to this page.
The Meebo folks came
up with some XHTML-looking
code for their widget
but it doesn't validate...
probably a cross-browser
problem
