The Best of The Worst |

What can I say about Vampire Wars? Well, I missed it when it was originally broadcast on SCI FI Channel as "Bloodsuckers". I picked it up previously viewed at Blockbuster. But, with a name like Vampire Wars, and vampires and space ships on the cover...I didn't even have to read the back of the box to know I was going to buy it! Sure the concept that most of the life in the universe ends up being vampiric is a little cheesy. But the movie makes up for it with decent acting, and a good looking vampire working with the human crew of the V-SAN (Vampire Sanitation) team to keep the human settlers safe from vampires. The story takes place on a few different planets, and they face a few different forms of vampires that have to be killed in specific ways. Also, you have Michael Ironside as a vampire leader adding a humorous character to the mix. Lots of action and blood, a little over the top, but decent looking for the budget. Sure it's a B-movie, but it looks pretty good and is a fun watch compared to a lot of the dreck that's out there. This one is worth checking out. |
