The Monster Squad isn't the group of monsters united against humanity...nope, the Monster Squad is a group of kids that are all fans of the movie monsters! And these aren't just any monsters...these are the Universal Monsters: Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Mummy, Wolfman and the Creature (Gillman). Fred Dekker wrote and directed Monster Squad, he also wrote Night of the Creeps (1986), House (1986) and Robocop 3 (1993). Shane Black co-wrote this...he's done a few other little movies like Predator, The Last Boyscout, the Lethal Weapon series and The Long Kiss Goodnight.
