Kyle is trying to adjust to his new life as Ion. It's not easy. In fact, he's experiencing headaches and blackouts. His first plan to deal with the problem is to throw himself into his art someplace remote and quiet. While there, he's attacked by a bounty hunter, who is told he's to blame for a massacre that resulted in thousands of dead war refugees and two seriously injured Green Lanterns. He heads into space to investigate the attacks and his blackouts, not realizing the Guardians have forbidden the rest of the Corps from lending assistance.
