District 8 is part of the

American Contract Bridge League, ACBL.

The district 8 board of directors is a community non-profit organization with elected officers:

Unit 154 (northern Indiana) – Dick Ellis, Bob Carteaux, Jim Davis

Unit 208 (central Illinois) – Martha Leary , Ron Sholes, Chuck Zalar.

Unit 223 (southern Illinois) – Jay Coleman, Doug Edwards, Dalton Darnell

Unit 239 (northern Illinois, non-Chicago) – Rajahneen Denker, Karl Denker, John Pree

The district 8 sponsors bridge tournaments:

• Winter StaC week, held the 1^st full week in February – latest StaC week results
• Grand National Teams final held in the Spring, usually in Springfield, IL.
• The Champaign Regional - usually the week ending on Memorial Day - http://www.prairienet.org/ad_reg.htm
• The Paducah,KY, split regional, usually held in early June (commonly split with Kokomo, IN, or Rockford, IL)
• The St Louis, MO, regional, usually held in mid-August.
• The Ft. Wayne, IN, regional, usually held in late September.
• Fall StaC week, ending the Sunday before the NAP final - latest StaC week results
• North American Pairs final the 2^nd weekend of November, usually held in Springfield, IL.

and runs a master solvers forum.
