No, I am not talking about Stephen King's horror novel "Stand" nor are they refer to the rock stars, rap stars or pop stars of America.

In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Stand is a superpower that transforms into a being. Not everyone have the power of stand inside them. To see that you are the one, you have to hit by the ancient artifact Arrow (which was made from a meteorite that hit the Green Land about 50,000 years ago. About 1986 AD, someone find that such meteorite was able to drive out the power of Stand, so he made 6 arrows out of that meteorite). If you are hit by the arrow and have the potential, then you will be granted with a Stand. If you don't, then bye bye you go, dead.

Stands can died, they are not invincible. They can kill by two ways: kill by another stand or stand user died. If stand is dead, then the stand user is also dead. So what's the point of having a stand? Because only Stand Users can see each other's Stand. For example, if you hit a normal person using your Stand, then he/she don't even know who did it. It's kind of fun in away, like having a invisible friend.

Each Stand has different abilities and different attributes. A Stand with higher attributes does not mean they are strong. It all comes down to their abilities. For example, if a Stand has the ability to turn everything into Ice and has a powerful punch, then what is its weak spot? FIRE! So a stand with the fire ability will toast it in no time. The opposite is true also, a stand with fire is weak against a stand with water or ice abilities. Another way to see if a stand is strong is to look at the stand user. The smarter the stand user the better the strategy he/she has and has a better chance at winning a fight.
