Most Valuable Wrestler Award
The purpose of this award is to stimulate the development of the total individual through competition and recognition. This is an attempt to instill Dedication, Responsibility and Academic intrest into the basic character of our young men.
You work hard at home to instill values in your children, and to develop a well-rounded individual. I would be doing both you and your children a disservice to emphasize athletics only, as though athletics is all that is important at school. My intention is to build and strengthen characteristics in our young men that would enable them to not only be stronger athletes, but stronger students and citizens as well.
The key to the entire program is PRIDE. I want our young men to take pride in all their efforts - whether it's athletics, academics, or life in general.
As coach, this award is my pledge to you to continue all our efforts and dreams of rearing a responsible, well-rounded young man, who is conscientious of a total effort. You and I, together are building today for a future of excellence - a future of PRIDE!
