Watercolor Canvas
Canvas specially prepared for watercolor paints is locally available, on standard wood stretchers. The painting can be sprayed with an acrylic sealer and farmed as any other canvas painting would be. This surface also offers easy lifting of pigment to regain white areas, or for corrections.

Mixed Media with various accents.

Sinclair Falls- Accented with
snow paint.

Mardi Gras

Flutterflies- Highlighted with irridescent paint, snow & glitter.

Masques- Glitter, pastel, acrylic additions.

Dancing Shoes- Accented with irridescent paint and glitter

Irridescent Medium
I begin my paintings with watercolor pencil sketches, then use a number of techniques and materials which are unusual to watercolor painting. I sometimes pour the paint onto the paper and then blow it with a straw. I use watercolor pencils, pen, pastel and acrylic to define the drawing. I’ve also used salt and spattering as well as scratching while the paint is wet.
