Scott in Laos This is where I will be posting my news and pics when I'm in Laos. I leave on March 29th at 8 o'clock and arrive sometime on March 31st. April 12, 2004 Just finished some really good ice cream, so I felt like doing something. ^^ I'll be working on fixing the webpage again, but it might not be put to use until I get back to the states since I don't have all my tools right now. =/ April 11, 2004 I finished with the gathering started yesterday and go back to my grandma's house. The ride was faster than usual today since the driver was speedin' like crazy. I have huge bruises on my noggin now. =/ April 10, 2004 We're holding a gathering today for my grandma on my mother's side today. So far, there's nowhere to sit and yet more people are coming. I have been sitting for hours already and can't wait until I get some room, or better, stand up and go somewhere else. Nothing much here. Just a lot of switching between my granparents' houses. Although I did meet Brother(honorable) Eht and went around the Pakse area. Oh, even more pho most of the days. ^^ April 4, 2004 Nothing new today... Just a lot more jokes about having me get married to the daughter of my father's friend. Or at least... I hope they were jokes. Anyway, this is the fourth day in a row that I've had pho, a kind of noodle soup, and I can't complain. It gets better by the bowl. ^^ Tonight, we leave for my grandpa's house by city bus and should arrive at 5 AM, about a 9 hour ride. April 3, 2004 Today, we visited another area of the city to go shopping yet again. We spent roughly 2 hours looking for a tailor that could make shirts with the design we have in mind. After that, it was another 2 hours searching for the cloth we wanted to use for our shirts and then back to the tailor's for measuring and finalizing our design. A lot of work... April 2, 2004 Today, we went shopping in one of the local shopping markets. I got myself some Muay Thai shorts and two shirts for $12 total, so I guess coming here was alright. April 1, 2004 Didn't get to stay in Japan as long as I hoped, but it's still cool. Can't believe I got to see Narita Airport as in one of my favorite dramas "Good Luck." w00t ^^ I'm now inside the airport in Bangkok and have to wait 8 hours for the flight to Laos to come in. =/ Viantiane, Laos. Current temperature, around 85 degrees. Time is somewhere around noon last time I checked. After a long baggage claim precedure and getting through customs, we finally arrive at my father's friend's house. I'm going to sleep so I'll update whenever I feel like it. ^^ March 30, 2004 It's about 6 PM here at Narita Airport. Right now, we're taking a small break. Not much else to say... I'M IN JAPAN BABY!!! Sorry... I just had to say that... March 29, 2004 I woke up at 5:00 today to get ready for leaving. Had to wait a long time at the airport.
