Ok.  See the red and green circles?  Those are the buoys that mark the channel.  They are leaning heavily toward the inlet down near the lighthouse.  That means the tide / current is pushing the boats that way (shown by the blue arrow), and we wanted to go the OTHER way (shown by the purple arrow).  So we're waiting.  I tried flying my kite, but the wind wasn't quite strong enough, and all I managed to do was get the tail soaking wet.
