Kevin Vissing, Moving Clark County forward

"Help move Clark County forward Elect Kevin Vissing Clark County Council."Jane Doe

Kevin Vissing was born in 1956 to Edgar and Hazel Vissing. One of five children. Siblings, Karen, Terry, Denise, Patrick. The Vissing family farm, Hwy 403 at Stacy Road, raised Corn, Soybeans, and also had about 100 herd of Holstein Dairy cattle. Kevin attended Saint Pauls grade school in Sellersburg  and Our Lady of Providence High School in Clarksville. Also classes later at Prossar Vocational school and Ivy Tech, and was a 10 year 4-H member as well as Junior Leaders.

Past hobbies are drag racing, tractor pulling, dirt bike trail riding, and three quarter midget racing where he was "rookie of the the year" in 1982. Current hobbies are flying fixed wing aircraft, off road trail riding on a Polaris "side by side" RZR, and motorcycle riding. Kevin also has had extensive traveling, with many cruises and trips to various parts of the world, including several to Europe.

Kevin, married in 1983, has two step children, Ryan, Nathan Todaro, and Brandon and Kyle Vissing. Kevin currently lives in Jeffersonville, and has been employed at Vectren Energy,  formerly " Indiana Gas" since 1985, and is currently a "service tech" but also has been a welder and equipment operator. Kevin served as President of the County Council in 2011 and also serves on the County Extension board, and Solid Waste board and a past member of County Planning and Zoning. Kevin is a current member of First Christian church in Jeffersonville.

After running for Jeffersonville city council, winning the primary but losing in the general election, Kevin won "at large" in the county council race in 2008. Some important votes made on the council was to insure viability of our "county hospital" to help get lower rates for borrowing money, and insist to the Clark County Airport board members to install a fuel flow fee as well as landing fees for transient aircraft to insure viability to our local airport. Kevin was not in favor for using tax payer backed bonds to back the Kentuckiana Medical Center, which is a private hospital in Clarksville.

Financial  issues with the County Council have been due to the "2007 council", lowering of our "Levy", which has hampered viability of our counties financial health. Kevin has done all that is possible to get us back on track. Kevin feels fortunate to be allowed as a member of the county council by the citizens of Clark County and will appreciate your help in his re-election campaign.
