Enlighten Me Updates

March 23, 2008

Good golly, it’s been more than a year since I posted a new chapter to ANYTHING!!

Inspiration has been lacking a bit ;) as well as a very extended, old fashioned bout of writer’s block that I’m not sure is over.  But, however small this update is, it’s a start!

Let me know if you’re still reading this stuff—I’d love to hear from some of you!

Maybe I’ll even see some of you in Covington!!

March 2, 2007

Wow, it's been way too long since I updated anything.  Chalk it up to a little shit fit of anger which turned into a massive case of writer's block.

The good news, Diosa's stories will be getting updated regularly now, and I did manage to write a couple pages of "The Song Remains the Same" this week.  Hopefully, that will keep going and I'll have a new chapter written before you know it.

I've been contributing to "Eden" so hopefully, you've caught that.  (I'm writing the part of Susan, Zac's wife.  How weird is that?)

So, I'm not dead and I haven't turned to the dark side (harry potter fiction, haha!)  Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled for new stuff.  And thanks for checking back here, assuming any of you still do.

Drop me a line, my email is the same as it's always been!  And heck, if Hanson ever do any shows outside NYC and surrounding area, maybe we'll meet up!

July 20, 2006

Okay--here's what's up:  My site will be moving over to Hansonfiction.com (bows to Llama).  Stephanie is moving it over there and she's almost finished (kisses to Stephanie).  Here's the new link:  http://hansonfiction.com/enlightened/

Now then--THIS site will end up with Diosa (Hair Like Fire, The You in You) and Ashley's stories (Avery, Concrete Angel, Out of Focus, etc etc.).  David is going to help me get those going here, so that won't happen nearly as quickly as Stephanie moved stuff to Llama's house because I am a very poor computer user.  But, maybe I'll learn something!  And some great stories will see the light of day again!!  I'll keep you posted on that, and I'll post updates at Various Artists and such as well.

So, hopefully, somewhere in all this, someone will find my guestbook!!!  I still have like, seven excellent entries that I didn't get to respond to!  That makes me cry because I love people who give me feedback and especially since I went and had a little fit and everything...so, to my guestbook folks who didn't get a response from me, hopefully, it's coming!  And if it really is lost out there in cyberspace, thank you so very much for letting me know you like my stories.

I'm REALLY hoping all this action gets my brain moving again as far as writing.  I think I just need to stay away from Hanson.net because it always just pisses me off when I go.  I mean, I leave there and think that if I saw Zac walking down the street, I'd go punch him in the stomach or something.  And for all we know, he doesn't know SHIT about what's going on there!  That'd be almost as lame as if he did though...alright, I'm leaving before I get started on a rant!  Stay tuned!!!

July 13, 2006

Well, my guestbook is still screwed up due to my ISP.  Those fuckheads.  I wonder if they'd like it if I neglected to pay my bill for a couple months.  I mean, an apology should be sufficient, right?  Sorry I forgot to pay you--I hope you weren't inconvenienced!  So, that also means I can't actually update my page either.  It looks like I'll be making the move to hansonfiction.com.  Which is pretty cool!  I mean, damn--it doesn't get much better than having your stuff right there next to Llama's!  And all the other awesome writers that are hosted there!  That's the bad/good news.

I guess if you'd like to contact me, just email at dkmoore@insightbb.com.  And my live journal name is krystal0211, if you're interested in seeing the little snips of story I post now and then.  Warning:  not a lot going on at the moment.  I think I'm pissed off at Hanson & Co.  I did write last night, but my computer ate it, and I guess I'll just have to go back and do it again...grrrrrrrrr.....

June 12, 2006

God bless America--I don't update this place nearly enough.  I've finished the first chapter of the third story in the Vampire Trilogy.  It's titled "The Song Remains the Same".  Here's the thing though--Stephanie always updates my pages for me, because I'm a dumbass and I don't know how.  I know, I know, "it's easy!"  Whatever.  Computers hate me, especially mine.  In any event--she's been busy (and we forgot the stupid password to something or other) and until we get that all under control, I won't have that nice title page and all that.  But, if anyone hasn't read it already (I post it in pieces in my live journal as I write it), and you'd like to--drop me a line at dkmoore@insightbb.com and I'll send it to you.  I'm sorry that's so lame, but for the moment, it's the best I can do with my extremely limited computatorial abilities.  Yes computer, I know that's not a word, get over it.

So, what are your thoughts on the whole fanfic ban thing over at Hanson.net?  Personally, it's one more nail in my 40 dollar a year coffin over there.  The place gets dumber and dumber every day, and more unfriendly.  It's a shame Hanson has allowed a few egomaniacs to ruin their website.  I mean, that place represents them.  If Hanson hates hanfic, they should tell us themselves.  So, until I hear it from the horses' mouth(s), I'll assume they're too removed from the place to know how ridiculous it's become.  And that doesn't make me happy either...

Anywhooo--let me know if you'd like to read chapter one!

krystal

ps--I also got a lot more done of the Cat story--"Are We There Yet?" so if you'd like to read the updates to that, let me know that as well, and I'll email it to you.

April....damn, I don't know what day it is--imagine that?

Alright, my little hissy fit got a bunch of you to sign the book.  Now I feel like a whiner.  But, thanks to the signers anyway!!!  I'm in the process of writing you all back right now!  And I keep reading and re-reading what I've written so far of the new story...it's coming.  I'm just thinking at the moment.  Trying to decide where I'm going.  And for those who've asked, nope, I have no plans of making Isaac a vampire.  :)

March 24, 2006

Wow.  I finished a story I'd been writing for two years and I got three guestbook entries.  Love to you three.  Maybe I just need to get a life and stop wasting my time...seriously.

So, tell me, did it suck?  Was it boring?  Was it predictable?  It obviously only appealed to three people.  I really am serious here.  I'd someday like to shop this out to a publisher.  If it's crap, I'd like to know.  Because, if it is, I won't waste my time doing the changes that I'd have to do to make it presentable to non-Hanson readers.

You know, I started writing "The Quiet One" in 1999.  And about a month ago, I find a thread on a forum about how horrible people thought the ending was.  They seemed to have loved it up until the end.  But, none of these people ever wrote me then to tell me their thoughts.  Maybe I would have changed something, maybe I wouldn't have.  I guess I just find it weird to think I put so much thought and time into all of this to have it pretty much ignored.  I've been trying to start the third story, but frankly, I'm not very inspired.

I'm actually a little worried for Hanson themselves.  I really don't think my writing has deteriorated--I think (or maybe I'm just hoping) that there just aren't many people out there paying attention to Hanson and/or Hanson related things anymore.  I'm seeing a lot of long time fans just fading away.  I predict the new album will tank, just like "Once More With Feeling".  Sorry Hanson, don't quit your dayjobs!

Update February 16th, 2006

Well, I finished the Epilogue of "Once More With Feeling".  It's in the hands of the lovely and talented Stephanie, so it should be up very very soon!  Now, don't jam up my guestbook or my mailbox like you have the last few times I've updated.................................................................................................do you smell the sarcasm?  Good. I'm out of town for the next few days--see you soon!!!

krystal

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I'm about two paragraphs away from being done with the epilogue of "Once More With Feeling"!  To keep you busy 'til it's done, here's a lovely bunch of Valentine themed stories!  I haven't read them, but from what I hear, it ain't all hearts and flowers--so if you're feeling adventurous, or just bored needing something to read--check 'em out!  There might even be one of my stupid stories there!

http://so-tangible.org/hearts/

Update February 2nd (Groundhog Day!)

Um, why is this bold?  God I hate computers.  Anyway, I guess it may as well be bold because, low and bebold~~I have posted Chapter 28 of "Once More With Feeling"!!!  I hope it works, you know I'm a master of the fade (which I'm sure some of you will be blasting me for, in public, no less) but, c'est la vie.  That's the way it is, that's the way I like it!  I hope you like it too!  But, if you don't, feel free to let me know.  I like getting mail and I generally respond.  Of course, now and then, someone gets lost, so if I don't write back within a week, feel free to write again and grouse about it.

Alright--give my guestbook some lovin'!  Check out the "new" page at Various Artists--it got updated this past weekend as well!  Send in those submissions and we'll get them on the next go-round!

krystal

Update January 2nd, 2006

Hope everyone had a spectacular New Year's and that it's a good one for the next 12 months!  Of course, the holidays have put me behind.  Who said that females have to do everything?  That's all I have to say about that...

I just posted the first four pages of Chapter 28 in my live journal.  For those of you who like to wait and take it all in at once, hang in there!  It's coming!

Update November 30th, 2005

Hey there!  The Hanson Advent Calendar will be up and running on December 1st.  24 new stories by the same writers who worked on the Blue Collar stories.  A great group, if I may say...Anywho, I believe I am the December 8th person.  The story I've written is a sequel to the piece I wrote for the Blue Collar one.  Start reading December 1st and each day, a new story will be up until Christmas Eve!  Here's the link:

http://so-tangible.org/glories/

Now that that's done, I can concentrate on OMWF.  I did write a review of my Cleveland adventures which was in my LJ.  The plan is/was to do reviews of all the shows I went to this tour, but...yeah.  Haven't gotten around to the other three yet.  Damn real life!  That's all my blabbing right now--see ya soon!               krystal

Update November 7th, 2005

Chapter 27 is up!!  And it's been less than a month!  Rejoice, everyone!!  Rejoice!  I've even caught up on my shamefully backed up guest book!!!

See ya in Cincinnati, Chicago, Chicago, Cleveland, and maybe Bloomington!  Look me up and I'll give you an autograph!!   Hahahahahhaahaaha---sometimes I crack myself up!

Update October 29th, 2005

Go vote for your Hanson Fiction favorites over at Various Artists!!  Voting ends Tuesday!!!

http://hansonfiction.com/links/index1.html

Also, I have the first 15 pages done of the next chapter--it's coming!

Update October 13th, 2005

Chapter 26 is up!!!  Enjoy!

Update October 12th, 2005

Well, I've finished Chapter 26--I've sent it to a couple good feedbackers just to make sure I didn't make any stupid mistakes--so hopefully, they'll get back to me in the next 24 hours.  If not, I'll just post it anyway and if there's mistakes, I'll be expecting you guys to call me on it.

So, um, I'm just curious...if you don't like Taylor, if you think Taylor is a jerk, if you think Taylor can't sing, if Taylor's voice "annoys" you--um, why are you a Hanson fan?  Cuz, let's face it, he does sing lead on like 2/3 of the songs or whatever.  Hanson fans never cease to amaze (and irritate) me.  I got the new album and it's very good, if not surprising.  Someday, Hanson will listen to me and do some smart things.  They're getting there...

In short--come back in a day, and the new chapter should be up.  You may have read the first 10 pages via live journal, well, there's nine additional pages coming!  See ya soon!

Update (sort of) Oct. 1st, 2005

Sheesh!  I've been reading a looooooooooooooong list of nominated stories for the Various Artists Awards this past month.  We're narrowing the list down to the five finalists in each category.  I can't begin to tell you how much fiction I've read since I started on that project.  The beauty of it is, so many wonderful stories were nominated.  The horror of it--many of them have like 50 or more chapters and I'm a freak and can't stand to skip chapters.  So, yeah.  My eyes are pooped and my mind has become a bit of a jumble.  So, now that I've done my part, I'm going on a Hanfic-Reading hiatus for a while.  I'm going to write.  So, for anyone who hasn't already read it, I did post the first 10 pages up of Chapter 26 of "Once More With Feeling" on my live journal, and I'm working right this moment on the second half of it.  Thanks so much for your patience!!  And those of you who have signed my guest book--I haven't blown you off (though I'm sure it feels like it)!  I'll be sending you a note soon.  Yes, soon (stop rolling your eyes).

See ya!  krystal

Update Aug. 10, 2005

Dang, it didn't feel like a month has passed.  I was all proud and stuff.  Oh well.  Chapter 25 is up, and it's not for the faint of heart!!!  I hope it's a little creepy, a little scary, all that.  Let me know if I was successful.

Update July 10, 2005

Chapter 24 is up--it's a little short, but I think it says all I had to say.  Let me know your thoughts on it.  If the story is getting boring, I'll just start on a different one...

Update June 19, 2005

I told you it would be soon!  There are two new short stories--check them out and let me know what you think.  I plan on finishing both of them.  But, if nobody cares, then maybe I'll just skip it.  Enjoy!  And thanks go to Stephanie for making the pages!

Update June 16, 2005

Well, I finally finished chapter 23 of "Once More With Feeling".  It has a wild little scene in it, so if you're all naive and innocent, you might want to skip it, haha!

Coming Soon:  2004's unfinished Halloween and Christmas Stories!  Real-time soon, not Hanson soon.  So don't be rolling your eyes.  It's sort of like, they're at the printers!

Ew, I'm eating a two year old Werther's.  So, if I disappear, you'll know I'm dead from caramel poisoning or something...

Update May 24, 2005

I'm back from Mayfest!!!  Fun times in T-Town!  There's a "review" of that under "Listen to Me".  You know how my reviews are--don't expect to know anything about the show, haha!

Also, Chapter 22 of "Once More With Feeling" is up!  Enjoy that!  Working hard on 23 right now, as we speak--I got a lot done in Florida.  Sheesh--I just need to stay home sometimes...

Update April......um, something or other...it's still April, isn't it?

Chapter 21 is up!  Have fun with it and let me know what you think!  It's getting a little crazy!

Hey, I wrote a couple totally goofy stories--one for Halloween and another for Christmas, and well, they didn't get finished (stop rolling your eyes!)  However, they're pretty long, and hopefully, a little entertaining.  Is anyone interested in me posting them, even though they're unfinished?  Who knows--if I got enough folks saying they liked them or that they were just dying to know what happens, maybe I'd get a wild hair and finish them!  If you used to follow my Live Journal stuff, you may have already read what was posted, so maybe they'd just be old hat.  But, maybe some of you don't read that.  I certainly wouldn't!  *whispers*--I haven't updated it for a long time--I've been posting new stuff at the Various Artists January Writing Challenge.  Obviously, it went past January, hehe.  Hanfic fans, if you haven't discovered that stuff, you might want to check it out!  Okay, I'll shut up now--leave me some feedback!  It helps!

your friend, krystal  <--going to Mayfest, look me up!  In fact, all the greatest Hanfic writers will be there (at least of this era...anybody read Catapult?)

Update March 22, 2005

Chapter 20 is up of "Once More With Feeling"--this thing could have gone (and still could) anywhere!!!  I don't know why I write like that.  I get in these places where I have no idea which way to go.  Go for humour?  Go for drama?  Bloodshed?  Argh.  Oh well--tell me what you think of it--it could change the direction of the story!

So, who's going to Tulsa in May?  Damn them!  I wanna go!  But, of course, it's the last thing I should be doing at that time...

Update February 15, 2005

It's a miracle!  An update in less than a month!  I think Chapter 19 came in at around 21 pages.  Let me know what you think.  I've had a couple people not care for it, and some others love it.  Feedback folks!

Update January 22, 2005

Here's the addy to an awards site that is pretty cool.  It has a gazillion different categories!  I always used to use award sites as sources for new stories, so you might give it a try if you're looking for something new.  Though, I'm not sure how new these are.  And of course, go vote--I'm up for some awards!  Wooo-hooo!  Wait, the voting might be over--darnit.  Well, check it out anyway--there's a drought going on and we all need something to do, haha!

http://www.angelfire.com/band2/nickel_dime_awards/nominees.html

Update January 20, 2005

Happy New Year!!  It's been insanity already.  We moved to a new house.  Much bigger, much nicer, much more to clean and keep up with.  You can see where this is going.  Also, I joined the January Writing Challenge for Various Artists.  The good news?  Got some writing done!  The bad news?  I'm way behind on reading and responding there because of the craziness of real life.  Alright, enough of that.  Chapter 18 is now posted in it's entirety.  There's a new picture as well that I think goes with what happens.  I think it clocked in at around 20 pages.  So, if you read the beginning already, scroll down and resume--some pretty important stuff happens.

If you've written me and I haven't responded, I'm so very sorry.  I hate to fall behind like that.  Thanks for any and all notes or guestbook entries--it keeps me going!  I even received a couple of suggestions for the plot!  Thank you for giving it that much thought and anything like that keeps me on my toes.  I may not use your idea, but it may get my own mind going in a direction it wasn't going in to begin with.  I'm a thinker after all (it's a curse, and the main reason why updates are so slow for me...)

Okay--carry on!  And let me know what you think, and I promise, I'll be much better at writing you back this time.  Things are slowly getting back to normal--whatever that is...

Update December 28, 2004

Good Gosh Almighty--it's positively sinful that it's been so long without an update here.  I swear to you all, I've been writing--just not very successfully.  I started a Halloween story, which I posted as it was written in my Live Journal.  Got some fun feedback on it, it was pretty silly.  But, I seem to have hit a brick wall with it at the moment, and once the most excellent date of October 31st came and went (happy belated birthday, youngest Hanson...) I sort of set it aside.  Started working seriously on Chapter 18--got pretty far, 9 pages I believe, then started on the Christmas story for the Hanson Advent Calendar.  It's a prequel to last year's "Snowed Out" called "The Rocking Chair Incident"--yeah, it's as goofy as it sounds!  Got pretty far--some good feedback--brick wall, December 25th come and gone......yeah.  So, I have been writing, as you can see.  Just haven't finished anything.  Perhaps I'll post up what I have of all of it here and we can all be cliff-hanging together!  In short, no real update, just didn't want you to think I'd passed away or anything.  And of course, if you want to read any of that silliness, it's in backwards order in my live journal which can be found here:    http://www.livejournal.com/users/krystal0211/     Talk to you soon!  Chapter 18 is coming, I promise!

Update #2 November 15th, 2004

Oops!  I forgot to tell you guys to check out the amazingly beautiful splash page for the "Vampire Trilogy"--The art is by the artistic genius Lily, and Stephanie put it out there on my site!  Wooo-Hoooo!  Click on the story page to get there!

Update November 15th, 2004

Well, a few of you have been reading the chapters as they're being written, but for those of you who prefer to wait 'til they're done--Chapter 17 is up!  It's not as long as usual, but it's sort of...full.  Sort of, eventful, I guess...Enjoy!

krystal

Update October 26, 2004

I'm writing that silly Halloween Story I threatened to write.  It's supposed to be a scary comedy, sort of.  You'd have to read it, I guess to understand.  It's posted in parts on the LiveJournal.  Now, don't kill yourselves getting over there or anything...or you can just hope it gets posted here when it's finished.  It's supposed to be a short story, but you know how those go.  And thank you to the two feedbackers on Chapter 16--you're my favorites!!!       krystal

Update October 23, 2004

I don't know how many of you followed the writing of this chapter in the Live Journal.  I guess I'll keep doing that, if for no other reason than I don't seem to have that much to say in general.  Anyway, for the rest of you who waited for it to be posted in its entirety, Chapter 16 is posted!  Enjoy!

Update October 10, 2004

Well, I don't actually have an update, but Chelsea made me a Live Journal, and it just sat there and sat there.  I guess I just don't have much to say.  But, anyway--I decided to just post up chunks o' chapters as I write them.  I'm going to see how that works out.  Of course, the weird thing about that is, the old stuff is at the bottom, so you'd have to scroll down to get to the beginning.  Which might be a problem, but so far, I've only got two chunks posted.  So, those of you who want to just read bits and pieces instead of 15 or 20 pages at a time, here's the link.  I'll see how this turns out.  Maybe it'll be a thing I'll keep doing...

http://www.livejournal.com/users/krystal0211/

Update September 29, 2004

Gosh, is Hanfic having a resurgence of popularity here lately?  I think people smell a little drought coming on and this is what they turn to.  Before you know it, folks will be getting all wispy about the Moffatts........haha!  "The Quiet One" has gotten lots and lots of hits.  "Just Another Victim" is feeling a little like the red headed step child.  Oh well, I take what I can get.  Chapter 15 is up.  It's not long in krystal-time, but it is in regular Hanfic time.  Know what I mean, jellybean?    That's it.  I'd tell you to give me feedback, but you wouldn't do it anyway.         krystal

Update September 10, 2004

Hey!  I just had my three year anniversary on the 4th and I forgot!  So, Happy Anniversary to "Enlighten Me"!  And, to celebrate, I've posted up Chapter 14 of "Once More With Feeling"--the whole thing!!!  None of that, part now--part later crap!  Wooo-Hoooo!!!  Read it and let me know what you think.  It took a teeny weeny little twist that I wasn't really expecting, so you know, tell me if it sucks or not.  That's it!  Good bye from krystal !

Update September 6, 2004

Well, I've finally posted up the last two reviews, and can officially wave goodbye to my Hanson Summer.  *sniff*  It certainly was fun, and I met a lot of great people (and a few bitches).  I'd say the cool ones FAR outweigh the others though, so it's all good!  At the glorious Kentucky State Fair--cameras are not only allowed, but encouraged!  So, here is a link to my pics from the night:  http://retiree58.home.insightbb.com  Enjoy those!    So, anyway, go back to the main page, click on "Listen to Me" and hit up those last two reviews if you're interested.

I do have about six pages done of the next chapter of OMWF--I'll probably just post what I have in a day or two.  The good news about the end of my Hanson Summer is, it gives me time to worry about pretend Hanson instead of real life Hanson, which is good for story writing.  Alright, wish me luck and fast writing!!!           krystal

Update August 24, 2004

I've written a review for the Ohio shows I went to--it should be posted in the next day or so.  Also, a "new" short story is up--"Devil With Blue Eyes".  I started it out in response to a challenge to write some Hanson porn.  Well, obviously, I'm not very good with porn, so while it's a little racy, it never made it to porn status, haha!  I'm such a prude.  And again, plot got in the way of the simple idea I had going on.  It was written a while ago, as I'm sure you'll be able to tell.  It's...different.  Check it out, and let me know what you think of it.  I've gotten a whopping four pages of the next chapter of OMWF done, so it's still a little while away--sorry!!!  I'm trying!  Friday is my "last" show--at least for this summer!  So, I should be able to get some good writing done--hang in there!!!    krystal

Update August 2, 2004

Review is up!  "4 Shows in 5 Days"--go back to the main page and click on "Listen to Me", it's in there!!!  krystal

Update July 30, 2004

Good heavens, I've just gotten back from seeing 4 Hanson shows in 5 days (which by the way is the name of the "review(s)" I have half way written.  So, stay tuned for that.  In a few days, I promise to have that up.  Now then, chapter 13 is posted in it's entirety now.  Let me know your thoughts--and none of that "yeah, that was good, give me more right now" stuff.  Do you hate the Beatriz character?  Do you think Taylor is a whiny wimp or the hottest thing on two feet?  Love Michelle or hate her?  Because it could lead me in a different direction if I realize that most of my readers want her hung from a tree in the Hanson's backyard.  Or, it may not, but at this point, I'm so torn about where some of these plot lines are leading--really.  I got some great feedback from a fiction group I'm on and it caused someone to get their ass kicked.  Read on, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about once you get there.

And, let me just say to you--I love Hanson for their music, but I did manage to get to stand and talk with the three of them for a few minutes this last trip and...gaaaughhhh!  Zac was a charmer, Isaac was the cutest guy ever, and Taylor...for heaven's sake................I'll tell you in that little blurb I'm writing.  I have yet to form the words to describe it all, haha!    krystal

Update July 7, 2004

Ok--I've posted up the seven pages of chapter 13 that I have finished.  It's heating up a bit!  I'm gonna try to get it churned out pretty quickly, but you know how that always goes.  Best laid plans of mice and men, and all that....  Talk to you soon!   krystal

update June 20th, 2004

Chapter 12 is up in it's entirety!  Finally!  Sorry for the wait!  Let me know what you think of it......working on 13 right now (my favorite number!)    See ya soon!  krystal

Update June 16th

I'm back.  Wow--the west is a huge place.  I mean HUGE.  I know a lot of people are upset that Hanson aren't seeming to tour out there, but after being there, I can understand a little.  You can drive for hours and hours and not see a McDonalds, or a Wal-Mart, or a crappy little diner or gas station.  By the time we got to the Grand Canyon, we were so insanely hungry we had tunnel vision.  In short, if Hanson is having money issues or time issues this tour, and frankly, when DON'T Hanson have those issues--I can sort of understand why the tour is a bit of a back-east affair.  Besides, I remember last summer when I had to begrudgingly take out my checkbook and part with some travel money to see the guys in Denver and Las Vegas...

Ok, all that drive time I was supposed to be writing, well, it just didn't happen.  Everytime I tried to write, there was some kind of crisis to be taken care of.  Plus, as stupid as it sounds, I cannot listen to music and write at the same time, and there was not a single moment with no music and no crisis and no tent to put up or take down--blah blah blah.  I know, I hate excuses too, even when they're true.  BUT, I have been churning out some the last couple days, between insane laundry duties and the death of a well loved rat friend.  I love rats, but gosh dangit, they don't live long enough.  Just long enough to get all attached.  So, anyway, I didn't want you to think I'd actually gotten eaten by a coyote (didn't even see one except a dead one on the side of the road!)  Saw lots of Bison though, gorgeous creatures.  Some elk, lots of deer.  Prairie dogs (I want one!) and Ravens (I really really really want one!)  Hopefully, I'll be posting up the end of the chapter that you've read the beginning of very soon, if not, I'll just post up the new pages so you don't just totally give up on me and this poor story.

See ya soon, I hope!  Is everyone going to some shows?  Maybe we'll run into each other as we're being shoved and pushed and run over by the skanky ho's.  Won't that be fun!?  Thank God, once Hanson takes the stage, I manage to put all that crap out of my head.  It keeps me from killing people, so--Thanks Hanson, cuz I don't think I'd like prison...then again, think of all the writing I could do!  No, wait, I'll bet there's music playing all the time unless it's lights-out time................Yeah, I think I'll just avoid prison.

Update May 28th, 2004

Well, I wanted to put up the rest of chapter 12, but alas, I have not written more than a few paragraphs since my last update.  However, I have witnessed Hanson blowing away the competition at the Bling Bling Summer Ding in Lexington KY.  Yes, you heard right--bling bling.  Hanson is so un-bling.  Though, in the blingy spirit of the evening, Zac wore a sparkly (no, really sparkly) Clash t-shirt.  Hehe.  Classic.  I plan on writing a review of this show, as well as the debacle that was Jillians the next day.  I think I'll call it, "A Tale of Two Cities"...or maybe "The Cool vs. the Skanky Ho's"--the girl behind me in the line at Lexington was explaining to her non-fan friend about Hanson fans.  She said, there's two kinds of Hanson fan--the cool ones (that's us) and the skanky ho's--that's the ones with no tickets but very short skirts and cleavage coming on to the security guards and the ticket guys and everybody else with a penis within striking distance.  The really disturbing thing was, they ended up being successful, front row, and backstage.  More later on these and other thoughts about Hanson-ness, and Hanson, and Hanson fans, and all that stuff.

I'm off to a very long, family vacation for the next two weeks.  The good news, hopefully, it will be fun and with all that drive-time, I should be getting lots of writing done.   The bad news:  no possible updates for at least two weeks.  Sorry, sorry!  I hate it when people do that to me, but just think of me out there in the woods getting attacked by bugs and it may make you feel better about the whole thing.....see ya soon (as long as I'm not killed by coyotes or anything like that).........byebye from krystal

Update May 18, 2004

Sheesh!  What a couple weeks I've had!  Last week, I went to Florida and of course, all this ticketing craziness pops up.  And of course, I have no job so I have no money, so of course, Hanson decides to come all around me (not complaining!!!!)  Well, I'll be looking through my jewelry box to try and finance all this craziness!  Plus--a last minute FREE show right here in my town.  Oh man!  It's insanity I tell ya!  Wish me luck on all this!

I put up the 15 pages of chapter 12 that I have written because it's just been a while.  It's not finished yet, but that's all I have written, so if you have something against reading half written chapters, you'll have to wait til I finish it.  Let me know your thoughts--things could change if I decide to.....                 ciao---krystal (the harried)

Update April 29, 2004

Has it been an incredible week, or what?!  #1 on the indie charts and #25 overall on Billboard--that is kick ass!  And then tour dates popped up out of the blue last night--whoa!  Now I'm going to have to come up with some money, dangit!  How are you all liking "Underneath"?  I know it sounds kooky, but it's growing on me.  At first I was almost disappointed.  Too many songs that I already "knew".  But, headphones, lyric sheets, and repeated listenings have given me a new appreciation for the "old" songs, and the new ones are just amazing, like I knew they would be.  "Get Up and Go"--fantastic!  I can't get it out of my head, along with "Lost Without Each Other".  I guess you all saw the VH1 All Access thing...wow.  Very moving and very powerful.  I'm so glad they stuck it out and that they are gonna be alright.  Hang in there Hanson!  We're with ya!  Heck, I guess any Hanson fans still standing after the drought of 2000-2004 can take anything!  We deserve every bit of Hanson loving we are getting right now.  And to Taylor, Zac, and Isaac, go home and go to sleep for a little while.

Chapter 11 of "Once More With Feeling" is up now.  Oh, I finally figured out where that title came from.  Thanks so much for telling me, guys.  It was the title of the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Now I look like an idiot.  Oh well, what's done is done.  I'm sure it's not the first, nor the last time I've looked like an idiot.  Well, read on, and let me know what you think.  Guess what?  My guest book is dead again, so you'll have to click the little email thing.  I know, I know, it's just so awful!  I go through guest books like nobody's business.    Write me with all your complaints, praises, whatever--I'm up for it!

Update April 2, 2004

Ahhhhh, what a Hansony month it's turning out to be.  I hope you're all going to that dang movie.  I have to drive two hours, but I WILL see Taylor and his equally talented brothers 20 feet tall in living colour if it kills me!  The acoustic shows were to die for, and if you missed out, this is going to be the next best thing to being there.  Sounds like a phone company commercial.  Also, if you haven't gone over to the VH1 site and checked out those new video clips they put out, you are missing out.  "Madeline" never sounded so good!       Ok--I updated "Once More With Feeling" with chapter 10.  It's a doozy.  I hope I did a good job, because it's a pretty dramatic chapter, and it's pretty important to the story.  Give me your thoughts on it!  Thanks guest-book signers!  No one seems to want me to write them back these days, so I'll just say thanks right here--------read on!               See ya!       krystal

Update March 16, 2004

Oh man, what a day!!!  Not only did I finally finish up chapter nine of "Once More With Feeling" but.........................drumroll.............................I, being the procrastinator that I am, didn't pre-order "Underneath" from Amazon.com until this passed weekend.  Well, lucky person that I am (how weird is that, for once!?) If you purchased it between March 12 and April something or other, you get it in your "digital locker" and you can listen to the whole thing, right now.

Oh My Gosh.............................................................

It's been 4 freaking years, people!!!  And I wake up this morning thinking nothing interesting is in the works today, and WHAM!!!  I've got "Underneath"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh man...I just don't know what to say! I'll have to try and write a review of it, though those never go very well for me.  It's probably better that I wait for Laura (Bright and Beautiful) to do one, because she always says exactly what I wanted to say, but she says it much better than I ever could.  I'm on cloud nine.........................read the chapter if you feel like it, hehe.

And thanks to my guestbook signers!  It took me almost as long as it would have taken Hanson to write you back!        Talk to ya soon, your very excited,     krystal

Update February 22, 2004

So much excitement in Hanson world!  Did you listen to that kooky radio interview they did?  Crazy, I tell ya!  Well, Chapter 8 is up!  I changed the ending two or three times.  I'm so indecisive (it's why I never finished college)!  So, let me know what you think of it--whether it's working for you or not---   See ya!          krystal

Update February 6, 2004

Wow, Hanson planned some secret shows, and the fans went and found out about it!  Haha!  I envy all you who live up in the vicinity of NYC, because obviously, you're gonna get to see Hanson live every few months.  I'm glad they are out there playing, though.  It's what they love to do, and they should do it more often!

Did you see that the links on the front page all work now?  Well, except for the "Links" page, hehe.  But, it should even be up in a day or two--so check back for that.  You may have read all my favorites, but, you never know, there might be a surprise or two there.

Chapter seven is up--It's sort of action packed--how weird is THAT???  Well, okay, there's an action scene.  But you know, I'm not an action girl, so that's sort of different.  Go check it out, and let me know what you think of it!   And thanks all you guestbook signers!  I write back to all of you, but sometimes, it's returned to me because your box is full, etc etc.  So, if you didn't get a note back from me, it's not cuz I didn't try!    byebye from krystal

Update January 24, 2004

Ta-Daaaa!  New layout (more or less, hehe)  My computer hates me and I hate my computer.  Just thought I'd throw that out there.  It's a good thing I love it, or I'd have thrown it out the window by now.  Paradox?  Oh well, that's how me and my computer feel about one another.    Now then, if anything doesn't work for you--links, pics, whathaveyou, let me know.  Chapter six is up now of "Once More With Feeling" (JAV2 to all you late bloomers).  I just realized Taylor does not appear in it once.  This is a first, people!  But, read it anyway, because lots of people talk about him in it--so technically, he's in it.  So, it's all good!  Write me!  I live for it!    And big thanks to Stephanie and David for pulling their hair out and dealing with my nitpickyness.                     krystal

Update January 20, 2004

Hey!  I was nominated for some awards at the Inexplicable Hanfic Awards!  Yaaay!  That doesn’t happen very often here lately.  I like to think of my stories as the “best kept secret in Hanson Fiction”—haha!  Thanks to all you peaches who’ve signed my book!  It makes my day—make that, my week!!!  Come back very very soon for chapter 6 of “Once More With Feeling”, aka JAV2!  And maybe even a new layout!  The first in like, two years!!!    See ya soon!       krystal

Update January 9th 2004

Good Heavens!  This is unprecedented!!!  I am posting another chapter up, and it's only been 5 days!!!  Now, it's a short one--only like, 9 pages.  But still!  Wow!  Go check it out--let me know your thoughts in my spiffy new guestbook!  Wooo-Hooooooo!!!!!!!

Update January 8th (Happy Birthday Elvis!)

The Guestbook has been revived!  It's ALIVE, it's ALIVE!!!!  (insert maniacal laughter here).  So, go sign it.  I haven't gotten to peruse one, at least one of my own, since like, November or something!

Update January 4th, 2004

How weird is that?  It's already 2004.  I was looking through all my old updates and I think two years ago I was threatening the life of Hanson if they didn't have me a new CD in my hand within six months or something.  Isn't it funny what love will make you put up with?  Well, I guess, technically, "Underneath Acoustic" could count as a CD.  But, it's not the CD.  I have definitely enjoyed it though, and I can't even describe what the tour meant to me.  Acoustic definitely suits them.  Or maybe it's just those small venues.  I don't know, but I just know I had a fantastic summer and I have them to thank for it.  Of course, I also quit the job I've had since eternity because of it, but that's a whole other story (which I'll just keep to myself, thank you).  Well, the holidays are finally over, Thank You God.  I'm so looking forward to some long winter's nights, stewing in front of the computer, deciding on how to phrase just one more blood drinking scene without using the exact same description as last time.  Thank heavens I have a very vivid and morbid imagination.  Now then, no one emailed me to tell me they'd written a Hanfic back in 1999 entitled "Once More, With Feeling", therefore, I am taking it and I'm not giving it back, even if they do tell me that.  Tough luck, you had two weeks to let me know.  Chapter four is done.  It's a little crazy.  My guestbook is still dead as a doornail, so email me.  Really.  Email me and let me know if I should just change the names on all this stuff and submit it to Anne Rice's publishing company.  I hear they're looking for a new writer to fill the holes she left.  Hehe, vampire pun there...enjoy!                 krystal

Update December 23, 2003

Good Heavens!  Did I say it wouldn’t be as long for an update?  Obviously, I lied.  But, don’t hold it against me—it’s December, the month from Hell!  Hope everyone is having a great Holiday season!  The bad news is, I have no update for JAV2 (which I’m thinking of calling “Once More, With Feeling”).  Has that already been done?  It just sounds familiar or something.  Anyway, the GOOD news is, instead, I have this little Christmas Story (cleverly titled “Snowed Out”) I wrote for the Hanson Advent Calendar 2003 Edition.  It’s goofy, it’s corny, and hopefully, you’ll like it.  Have a fantastic week, and I do have about 5 or 6 pages done of the sequel, so when the lovely, boring (and I mean that in the nicest way) days of January get here, I should be pumping it out—wish me luck!   Talk to ya soon!                krystal

November 17th, 2003 update

Egads!  Not only is it Isaac Hanson's 23rd birthday, but it's been a month since I updated!!!  That's awful!  Well, my guest book has died (again!) so I don't know if anyone still comes here or not.  Hopefully, a few of you are still checking in.  I've been way too busy this summer.  Don't get me wrong, I have had a blast!  I met some of my idols while I was in NewYorkCity--and no, none of them was named Taylor.  But I did meet Laura of "Bright and Beautiful" fame--seriously, she's been my idol since 1998, having written the most clever and insightful Hanson commentary anywhere.  Also, the beautiful and talented Llama!  Yes, THE Llama!  I shook her hand and told her I loved her.  Haha!!!  New York City is amazing, and Carnegie Hall was simply breathtaking.  I think Hanson themselves were in awe of the place, because they never let themselves get crazy.  Still, the music was beautiful and the screeching--well, it could have been worse, I'll give it that.  Chicago sounds like it was fabulous, even if they were shoo'ed out because of a stupid curfew (had their bus/trailer towed as well, I hear).  Can't wait for the DVD of the Acoustic Tour.  Having experienced all three tours, I can absolutely say this one was the best.  I'm so spoiled now, it'll be hard to be in a big venue and not have that intimate, one on one feeling.  Ah well, the good thing is I have finished CHAPTER THREE!!!!!  It's a miracle!  It's a miracle! And just so you know, I had this storyline in mind waaay before the real life Taylor caused all the craziness in Hansonworld, and I sort of shelved it, thinking it was sort of...not in good taste.  Well, to hell with taste, I thought of it first!!!    Now then, since my guestbook sucks, send me email!  I want to know if anyone is still out there, and if they like the way things are going, or if they hate it, or if it's too preposterous, or boring, or what!!!!     dkmoore@insightbb.com   Now, no excuse, just click and write!   Talk to ya soon (sooner than last time, I hope!)    krystal

October 18th, 2003 Update

Um, maybe I'm just totally missing it, but I don't think I updated here to tell you guys I'd put up Chapter 2 of JAV2.  So, if you haven't seen that, go check it out.  And tell me if it sucks or not.  I've got a few pages done of chapter 3, but not enough to post really, so I won't put that up til I get a bit more done (if not the whole chapter)!       Well, it's been another crazy month for we Hanson fanatics!  This past Wednesday, I went to see them in Cincinnati (nice city) at Bogarts (sucky venue).  The show was amazing, as always.  You must hear them perform "Ain't No Sunshine".........oh, it's just................wow.  It's sort of...steamy.  Taylor nearly fell off his little stool he got so excited playing "Lost Without Each Other".  Man, What a great song!!!  Single material, right there!!!!  The staff at the venue were jerks.  The crowd was a bunch of screaming idiots who literally were punching other girls, and Hanson had to stop the show to ask them all to move back and stop hurting each other (nothing new about that though, I suppose).  It's really sort of disappointing to see that even after six years, some of us haven't gained a single ounce of intelligence.  I mean, you expect 12 or 13 year olds to behave badly (first concert and all), but geez, once you get to be 18 or 19, you'd think you'd have matured just a little bit!!!  Oh well, enough of that.  Isaac, Taylor, and Zac were just so amazing and the songs were amazing, and so, I just ignored the stupid crowd as best I could, thankful I already knew the new songs (since the rude ones were yelling during them).  Alright, stepping down off my soapbox (AGAIN!)--read chapter two if you haven't, and be on the lookout for chapter three, hopefully fairly soon!                byebye from krystal

September 22, 2003

I hate computers so much, I can't even describe to you...now then.  On with the update, maybe it will even show up this time #$%^&*.    Sorry I've been busy lately, but Man!  What a Hansony month it's been!  Shows and reviews and pictures and just......they still amaze me.  The only band (or anything else for that matter) that I'd wait around three years for, and love them all the more for it.  I'm going to Cincinnati, look me up if you go!  I finally finished up Chapter 2 of JAV2.  Please tell me if it sucks, or if it made you have an orgasm while you were reading it, or if you think you could do it better.  I'm all ears.  Really.  Thanks to you guest book signers--I'd have written you back, but you never leave your email addresses....

September 1st, 2003 Update

I just posted my concert "review".  I don't know why these things never end up the way I think they are going to.  It's not really a review as much as it is like...an editorial, sort of.  Thus, I put it under Rants/Raves (formerly known as EnlightenMe, which was linked off the front page where no one could find it).  It's called "The Hanson Experience '03"--check it out, and let me know your thoughts.  I got zero feedback on the first chapter of the JAV sequel, except from the folks who I sent it to in the form of emails.  Maybe I just need to make one of those god-awful yahoo groups or whatever for it.  Then I wouldn't have to stress over pictures and page layouts and stuff.  What do you think?  Anyway, here's the link to the review:     http://home.insightbb.com/~krystqo/enlighten_me.htm

Have fun!!!  And write to me about something!  Oh, and don't forget to vote in the HNG awards!        http://www.3cargarage.com/hng/awards/  There's some great stories up!                                                                                                       krystal

August 28th, 2003 Update

Well, I just got back last night from the Denver/LasVegas Hanson experience!!!  I can't begin to tell you how amazing those guys are!  But I'll try.  Just, not right now.  I am dead on my feet.  Keep checking back for that, it'll be under the "Enlighten Me" title on the front page.  Now, I am finally done with the page for JAV2.  Don't laugh, it may not look like it, but that was hard work.  In my next life, I'm gonna be a computer literate person and know what photoshop and html and all that stuff is, and how to use it correctly.  Til then, this will have to do.  You don't love me for my beautiful layouts anyway, haha!  You just like the slightly dirty scenes in my writing.  Speaking of which, chapter one is now posted.  Thanks so much for those of you who wrote me, and I hope I didn't miss anyone who requested an email update.  Ew, once you kind people wrote to me at the Hanson.net address, I remembered why I don't usually use it.  So, just use this boring old one here, I guess.  I'm never satisfied, am I?  Hell no, I say!  Now hurry on and check out the page, it's listed as "JAV2" in the list of Long Stories on the "read to me" link from the front page!  Enjoy, and let me know what you think!               krystal

August 20, 2003  Update

Egads!  What a month it's been for the Hanson Fan!!!  Thank heavens!  We've needed this almost as much as they have.  I'm off to a couple shows this weekend, wish me luck!  I'm short so, I'll be lucky to see the tops of their heads, but as long as I get to hear them sing, I'll be satisfied.                     Now then, I have completed chapter one of the sequel to "Just Another Victim".  Until I come up with a title, I'll just call it.....JAV2, or something stupid like that.  Here's the thing.  Until I can make the page, anyone who wants to read it will have to email me and I'll send it to you.  Ok?  Email me at:  thequiet1@hanson.net  or krystqo@insightbb.com  I don't know why I gave you both, maybe 'cause no one emails me at Hanson.net.  I'm rather invisible there. Talk to you soon!  Send feedback!  Really!  I want this to be good, and if it's unclear, I need to know.  Any questions, ask me.  I live for it.      byebye!!!

PS--I'll give you a complete rundown of the shows once I get back!

July 17th Update

Alright, you guys didn't exactly overwhelm me for requests for this story, so just to piss you off, I posted it here once it was finished.  So there.  Feedback would be nice, but I know you're busy.  See?  Been hanging around Hanson.net too much and Ashley is rubbing off.  Here it is, enjoy!       http://home.insightbb.com/~krystqo/zac__tays_excellent_adventure.htm

July 12th Update

Well, how did you guys fare on the GettingTicketsForHanson craziness?  I actually did pretty good, only because I decided to be insane and fly across the country to join my friends Stephanie and Amy to see the guys in Denver and LasVegas.  Good thing I did.  I was certain the second leg of the tour would be announced and they, of course, would be coming closer to me.  Haha!  According to AshleyGuiltrip, er Grayson, there isn't gonna be a second leg.  Hmmm...not that he's particularly believable.  I try to like him, I really do.  So many people say he's such a nice guy and blah, blah, blah.  Whatever.  I just finished my two weeks of torture (jury duty) and while I thought I'd get a lot of writing done, it just didn't happen.  They'd much rather bore you to tears and make you play the waiting game.  Whoever said "the wheels of justice turn slowly" was obviously speaking from the jury pool.  And when I was allowed to leave there, I had to go to work 'til 9:45 at night, thus I have no real updates for you.  The camping story is up to 35 pages and I think I'll just post it here when I figure out how to give it it's own page.  My webmaster is out of town for a few days.  Well, maybe that's good, perhaps I can finish it by the time it hits the net.  So, if you're interested in that, check back in a few days and see if I've got my s*** together on that yet.  Good luck on the tickets!  And don't forget to watch Leno on they 15th!  The drought is over!!!!  Yaaaay!

June 15th Update

Hey, that's two in two days!! Well, you all can thank me now, because obviously Hanson read my little rant down there and decided they BETTER appease me!!!  Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!!!  Tour dates coming within days, I believe is how they put it.  Of course, you and I both know, with Hanson, it might be 365 days.  They're still not quite clear on that whole, minutes, hours, days, weeks thing.  Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway.  I have no story updates for you, unless you are interested in a very goofy one I started a couple years ago for the Request group I belong to.  It had to involve Taylor, Zac, two girlfriends and a natural disaster.  Hmmm....wonder why they wanted me to write that???  Hehe.  In any event, if you are interested in that, it's about 20 pages so far, and I'm hoping to finish the darned thing in the next couple days.  Yeah, yeah, stop rolling your eyes, I can finish something!  Now then, if you're not interested in goofy camping disasters, be sure and go to Barbara's beautiful Turn the Page site.  Her story "Deep Blue Heart" is fantastic, and maybe if we inundate her guest book with praise, she'll update more often.  Though she did just a few days ago, I shouldn't complain.  Here's the link: http://blurred-reality.net/turnthepage/main.html    Ok, I'm leaving.  If you want to read the story I'm hard at work on, email me and I'll send you the file, alright!!  And here's hoping Hanson comes to all our hometowns (or at least a short drive)!!!        krystal

June 13th update

Hanson, you owe me.

I have been a fan since the beginning, well, almost. I admit, I wasn’t in Tulsa in 1995 or anything.  But, since the first time I heard Mmmbop, I have been one.  Since then, I have been a fiercely loyal follower of Hanson; from the radio, to MTV, to the record store, to the net.  I was angry when they stopped worrying about Hansonline in favor of MOE.  Join MOE!  Please, we’re gonna keep bugging you until you join MOE!  So, I joined MOE.  I got my card and some magazines from MOE.  Nice.  Then it was all about Worlds.  Oh, this is gonna be great.  The internet is the way to interact with us.  We’ll actually be there on the net with you!  Well, I was the penguin that nobody talked to.  And then came Hanson.net. I resisted.  Till the bloody end, I resisted.  I was certain it would split the fans into the Have’s and the Have-Not’s.  And it did.  Hansonline, the only official Hanson site became the ignored third cousin, twice removed.  Ignored and maligned by everyone who mattered; for months the name “Hanson” was spelled “Hansin”—right there on the front page!  What a way to greet the casual fan that was just stopping by to check up on the band they used to really love, but, hadn’t heard anything about in a while.

Don’t get me wrong.  I still love Hanson (in that silly way that we “love” people we don’t know.)  I love their music way too much.  I work in a music store, and I have played them as often as I could get away with, and was delighted every time I got to shock someone and tell them that the music they were enjoying was indeed, that sucky Hanson.  How many times have we heard people’s stupid, out of tune, wrong lyric versions of Mmmbop?  Hanson owes me for that alone.  Routinely, I retire my Hanson CD’s thinking, if I listen to that one more time, I’m gonna kill myself.  And it lasts for maybe a few weeks.  And suddenly, I’m thinking, if I don’t get to hear RunawayRun right this minute, I’ll just die!  I don’t know what it is about them, but Hanson just gets in your head and your heart, and you can’t let them go.  I’ve tried.  I’m not a patient person.  It drives me mad to think Hanson has 65 songs sitting there, locked away in their computers, or a safe somewhere, or laying on Ashley G’s desk.  And I don’t get to listen to them.

I’m afraid Hanson is ruining their own career.  If the business end of it is daunting, HIRE someone who knows what they are doing.  I’m sorry, but 90 seconds of footage from an hour and a half concert is…..well, not very good.  As far as the new CD goes, I totally understand why those 15 songs that are going to be on “Underneath” are off limits to us.  I’m with ya, guys.  If they are as good as I think they are going to be (from the tantalizing little snips you’ve given us) the wait will be worth it.  BUT, how about giving us some nice clear versions of songs we’ve come to love because we are all crazy in love with your music?  Songs like, “Never Let Go” or “Bridges of Stone”?

I understand Hanson has personal lives.  So do I.  Really, I do.  But, do I still find the time to go to work?  Yep.  Everyday.  Is it work that I absolutely love?  Um…not exactly.  It’s okay, it doesn’t suck.  So, why exactly can’t Hanson find the time to perform for us?  No record?  So what.  Sing us the old stuff.  Stop being so secretive.  I’m not three years old.  “Surprises” do not thrill me.  Just give it to me.

Some of the fans will tell you Taylor’s new role as husband and father are keeping Hanson from working.  Sorry, men all over the world have children and they go to work.  I don’t think even Taylor would use that excuse.  He loves music too much.  And that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love his family.  So don’t even try that on me.

I don’t know how much you follow what’s going on with all the non-Hanson.net sites, but boy are Hanson fans getting grouchy!  If Hanson wants a career in music, it’s time for them to do something about it.  “Soon” is gonna be too late.  If it takes another year for the CD and the mystical, magical documentary (that’s supposed to make it all ok in the end), I’ll be here, but I’ll bet outside of Hanson.net, there won’t be anyone left.  And that is a shame, because Hanson has the talent and the charisma to be here for a long time.  But even for all of us who are “in it for the music”—if there’s no music, then what is there?  Give us a reason to keep waiting.

May 25th, Update

Hello everybody!  Well, this is it.  "Just Another Victim" is finished.  It came out at 46 chapters, plus an epilogue.  And I worked on it for like, 2 years, so you have to let me know what you think of it.  I have ideas for a sequel.  I'm still thinking.  The end is sort of.........well, anyone who needs to should go and read the disclaimer again, if you catch my drift.  Please let me know your thoughts on it.  Hanson has been NO inspiration whatsoever for two years now (longer actually) so you guys are all I've got keeping me writing this thing.  It's probably all been a big conspiracy to make all us Hanfic authors stop writing those damned stories!  It cost them their career, but in the end, they probably think it was worth it!  Haha!  Well, I hope you like it, and don't go away, I intend to keep updating the site whether it's with my rants or new stories or whatever.  Talk to you soon!    krystal

May 6th  Update

Happy Belated Derby Day everybody!!!  Ok, enough of that.  I got a chunk of writing done on chapter 45.  I didn't mean for the last one to be like, a cliffhanger, it just sort of happened.  So, I'm posting up the next part.  Scroll down again, like last time!  It's not over yet, but it's getting there.  I know I keep saying that, but I really mean it.  That is if I can rein in my kooky imagination and stop wandering off into more plotlines--somebody make me stop!!!  Hope you enjoy it!  And you amazing guestbook people--I'm so sorry I haven't written you back yet!  I always try to do that and I've fallen behind on that.  I apologize and let me tell you right now, I appreciate you more than you can imagine!  Hey, anybody get that new CD by that obscure little group called Hanson?  It rocks!  If you haven't joined Hanson.net, you really should.  I know we all have our issues with it, whether it's money or just the principle of the thing... but I finally bit the bullet and joined and I've enjoyed the hell out of it.  Even the bickering can be fun!  So, if you're trying to decide, go ahead!  I think Hanson has had a tougher couple years than their fans, even!!!  I'm trying to be patient and supportive and all that stuff...wish me luck!  Haha!

April 21st--Update!!!

Sheesh!!!  It's been a loooong time since I updated!  Don't scold me too badly though, I was nearly killed by my own body.  It's a long story, and I'm trying to forget it, so I won't say anything else about it.  In a nutshell, I'm better and I've been writing.  Poor Chapter 45 is now up to 25 pages!  Good Heavens!  It's not finished yet...oh hush, at least it hasn't been two and a half years!!!  Plus, I have a job and stuff!  Anywho--I didn't make it a separate link, you'll just have to scroll down.  Sorry, but I don't like all those "next part" and "third part" and all that--so I thought this would be simpler.  To all you Camille-Haters out there, be nice to her.  She's almost, sort of, loosely based on ME!!!  Haha!  And I had the weirdest thought today as I was writing.  I considered having the Taylor character drink from either one or both of his brothers.  What would you think of that?  It's actually almost too weird for me to write--I can think about that kind of stuff, but I'm sort of...I don't know, I just feel weird writing it and sticking it out there for all to see, know what I mean?  And it wouldn't even be sexual--oh, I'm just weird.  Ignore me.  I know what I'm trying to say, but I'm probably not doing a very good job getting it across to you.  Alright, I'm going.  Read the next part and tell me what you think.  And tell me what you think of our 'hero' taking a nip from his siblings (NOT the younger ones!) I'll be on pins and needles waiting to hear your thoughts, so don't disappoint me!!!

Update April 1st, 2003

Well, I'm back from my vacation/adventure whereas I met the amazing Stephanie, who writes "So, There Was This Boy..." and it's equally fine sequel "Happily Ever After".  We've been "talking" via the net for close to two years now.  Wow.  That's just...insane.  I've been friends with her almost as long as I've waited for Hanson's new album!!!  Well, on that snotty note (sorry Hanson, you know how to get me un-snotty) We had a blast, and we both got some writing done, so I am posting up 17 pages of chapter 45.  Thanks so much to you sweet people who emailed me, and I hope you enjoyed what I sent you.  Also, thanks to you guest book folks, you rock!  (Hehe, reminded you of Taylor, didn't it?  Gee, I miss Taylor...)  Anywho--I'm afraid I may have opened up another of those proverbial "can of worms........let me know what you think of it.  First draft, it may change (but I doubt it, I'm much too anal about my writing for that)  Wow, I seem to be in the mood for parenthesis tonight...............byebye from krystal

Update March 18th, 2003  (sort of...)

Alright, I have 11 pages of chapter 45.  I know, I know.  It didn't end yet, I'm getting there.  Should I go ahead and post up the first 11 pages, and then put up more when I get it?  Or shall I wait til I finish up chapter 45?   Let me know what you think.  krystqo@insightbb.com              Hope to hear from you-  byebye from krystal

Update February 27th, 2003

Egads!!!  February is almost over!  That means it's almost March!  Hmmm...you know, I was sort of holding out for the traditional May release of the new CD--doesn't really look like it's gonna make it, does it?  @#$#%%^&*&   Ah well.  What's a few more months in the life of a Hanson fan?  It's all good.  I'll still be here when it comes out and I'll go out and buy it like a good girl.  I better fricken like it though, or I will hunt them down and give them three years worth of what for!  They do NOT want to mess with me!!!  They've made me lose my pleasant disposition.  My dark side has emerged and it's all Hanson's fault!  Now then, on to the update:  I've gotten a few more pages written and I think I'll just go on and post them, cuz it's been a loooooooooooong time since I did.  And I don't want to be the pot calling the kettle black, you know.  So, here is the next five pages of Just Another Victim (it's still not done)--I'm working on it, I swear!!!

Update February 12th, 2003

The concert last night was just totally amazing--two girls with guitars, no band--yet, they filled the hall with gorgeous music.  There is only one band that can move me the way Hanson can, and that is the Indigo Girls.  They play their instruments as well as anyone I've ever seen, they have beautiful voices and harmonize perfectly and they can write some fantastic songs.  If you've never experienced them, go as fast as you can to a record store, or to whatever site you use to download clips and indulge yourself!  Start with "Closer to Fine" or "Galileo"--both amazing songs.  It's like...a female Hanson!!!.......sorta.  Just listen, you'll see. And their concerts are the only ones close to being as much fun as a Hanson one--plus, they actually release records and do tours!!  Catch them while you can--there are still about 10 dates left on this tour!    Gotta go write, wish me luck!   byebye from krystal

Update February 11th, 2003

Hey guys!  It's my birthday and I'm going to see the Indigo Girls tonight from the second row!!!  Wooo-Hoooo!!!   Sorry, no update, though I did get some good thinking and planning done last night.  It really is getting there.  I won't use the dreaded "S" word that poor Hanson has been sent to the corner for.  You know, if this were the old west, fans would be callin' fer a hangin'!  Aw, poor guys, they can't win for losing.  Oh well, I'll be the first in line when the CD is released, but until then, I'm sorry, but I'll be grumpy.  I can't help it.  It wouldn't bother me if I didn't care!!!  So, have an excellent day and everybody, pray for Hanson-*snicker, snicker*  Talk to you soon (oops!!!)         byebye from krystal

Update February 2nd, 2003

Hi again!  Just for Sarah, I am posting up the rest of what I have on Chapter 44.  It's still not finished, but it's getting there--so, Sarah, enjoy!  And let me know what you think!

Update January 30, 2003

Hello.  If someone tells you you've won a cruise, just say "no".  My vacation was very stressful.  Haha.  Ah well, such is life.  But, I'm back and I did get some writing done.  I didn't actually finish the chapter.  Sorry, sorry!  I'm feeling like all those other Hanfic authors.  I am trying though, I swear!  It just won't end!!!  It's like, the thing that wouldn't die!!!  It's the story that wouldn't end!!!  It's like a sweater that you just keep knitting, and knitting, and knitting.......I know, PeeWee Herman references probably go over the heads of most of you young'uns.  I'm not posting up the next part yet--I'm gonna see what happens over the next couple of days.  I can't tell you how relieved I am to be back from my "vacation" and back to my regular old boring life.  Maybe NOW I can get some writing done........check back, guys.  I'm not dead and I haven't decided I hate Hanson or anything.  Not yet, anyway.  Grrrrrr...get back from a vacation and still no news from Camp Hanson.  I'm getting very antsy here guys........

Update January 12th, 2003

Hello!  Well, did everyone get to see the Holiday Video and the Photoshoot one as well?  It’s good to know they are all still alive and kicking.  Now then, if they’ll just give us some music.  A documentary would be nice, but what I really NEED is the music.  Now.  Right now.         Ok, that’s out of my system—I haven’t finished chapter 44, BUT I do have a bunch more pages done of it.  So, I’m posting up a next part—LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT!!!!  Seriously.  I’m afraid I’m getting stage fright or something.

The Hanfic Pulitzers have ended and my friend Stephanie just took home everything she could possibly carry!!!  And deservedly so!  If you haven’t read her stories, “So, There Was This Boy…” and it’s sequel “Happily Ever After”, you’ve really missed out—so, check it out if you haven’t!  Barbara has finished her latest story, “Minutes to Memories”, and it was gorgeous!  Go read it if you haven’t.  Alright, that’s all my instructions to you…have fun with all the reading!   Byebye from krystal

Update December 22, 2002

Hey everybody!  I just put up my Christmas Tree yesterday!!!  Egads, never in my life has it been December 21st and still no tree—no wonder it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me!  It’s been a super busy, and oh so uninspiring (at least as far as Hansony things go) month---wait, make that YEAR.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have seen any of the stuff that happened (and DIDN’T) to Hanson this year coming.  Sure, we’ve read it all before in badly written (and some well written) Hanfics—but dang, they did it up better than any author could have come up with.  It reminded me of “Titanic”—the real story was so amazing, there was no need for fiction.  And it sounds like the story ain’t over yet.  I don’t think I want to know anymore.  Well, here’s hoping this year brings us a fricken album and a lot less personal crap from these guys.  You know, my Grandma always said, “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”  Give Taylor something to do…oh, I don’t know, maybe perform some music?  Release the album they’ve slaved over for three years?  Go public with their bad selves?  And I’m sure he wouldn’t be so prone to getting himself into trouble!  In any event, I hope his new son makes him happy more often than he drives him crazy (which is a pretty common thing for a baby to do, afterall) and that he gets his life in order and that the music does well for them (hey, I can dream, can’t I?) and that 2003 is a fun one for all us starved, crazed, misunderstood Hanson fans!!!   I guess that was my “End of the Year Rant”---because I can’t seem to find the time or the energy to finish up Chapter 44 in a timely manner (pfft, don’t even act like you’re not used to it)—I’m posting what I have.  I believe it comes out to about seven pages.  I’m totally at a stand still.  The same thing happened when I got to the end of “The Quiet One”.  I don’t know if I freak out when I get to the end, or what.  Maybe I’m afraid I’m gonna mess it up after the gazillion pages I’ve already written.  Maybe I’m afraid of closure.  Heck, I don’t know—I find myself torn between one of those wild, climactic endings, and a quiet drifting off of the characters.  I knew what the ending was going to be for “The Quiet One” when I put the first word of the first chapter down on paper, but “Just Another Victim” has never been in that neat, planned out sort of way that that one was.  I’ve never known from chapter to chapter what was going to happen.  Well, wish me luck on finishing up the story.  I have plans for a sequel, though I have to tell you, it feels like I’ve been writing this tome for the entertainment of maybe 10 people.  Ah well, Love to those 10 people and I suppose, love to all you lurkers out there (assuming you ARE out there…hmmm….maybe there really ARE only 10 readers and they just check for updates a lot…)          Have an excellent Christmas and let’s hope for a wonderful New Year!!!                      krystal

Update Dec. 4th, 2002

Hey everybody, sorry to have disappeared for a while.  How very Hansony of me…I don’t have an update, but I do have 5 pages written of the new chapter.  I haven’t stopped writing the story.  I still have lots of ideas for it (and / or it’s sequel) but, I’ve definitely hit a dry patch here.  Sorry, things haven’t been very inspirational here lately.  It’s hard to get motivated sometimes.  And Thanksgiving was lots of fun and I spent a lot of time with the Fam.  Wish me luck on the rest of the chapter.  I guess if I can’t churn it out here in the next few days, I’ll probably post what I have.  Perhaps some feedback would be motivational???  Have a great time out there right now---shopping and stuff.  It’s snowing here, which is a wonderful thing---talk to ya soon!  Hang in there, hopefully some new music is on it’s way to us poor starved people soon.  I mean, damn, how long can they possibly put it off?  Taylor’s gonna explode if he doesn’t get to do some shows soon……………then again, a good night’s sleep may be what he is needing.  And some cheesecake.  With chocolate and caramel and stuff.  Yum.

Update November 11th, 2002

Yay!  I finished chapter 43—so, if you were a patient person and wanted to wait ‘til it was finished, then read on!!!   For those of you who went ahead and read, there’s a couple more pages to read.  Not that any Hanson fan would EVER be impatient!   * ahem…*   Hmm…I guess that’s all I need to say.  Oh yeah, now don’t overwhelm me with so much danged feedback this time!!!  I had to write two notes back to people!!  It’s too much!  I can’t take it!  So, thanks you two wonderful people who found the time to let me know your thoughts!    Talk to you all soon---and if you haven’t gone and checked out that gorgeous, intelligent (usually) Taylor person over at the Bubblegum Babylon page, run as fast as you can---it’s new!  Wooo-Hoooo!!  New Hanson anything is welcome  (and I do mean anything!)

Update November 5th, 2002

Hello!  See?  I’m still here.  But, here’s the thing…I’m not done with Chapter 43.  Don’t stop reading yet!  And I did say “Chapter 43”—it ended up not being the Epilogue.  It’s like, the thing that wouldn’t die!!!  But, I know you’re all wanting to see what happens, so I’m just gonna bite the bullet and post up what I have—it’s about 14 pages or so, so it’s not like it’s not lots of information.  But, it is definitely unfinished.  So, if you want to wait, that’s cool—I am still writing right now as we speak.  It might be finished tomorrow or if inspiration ducks out on me, it might take years!!!  But, I don’t think so.  I’m getting there, just hang on a little longer!  And call the Hanson hotline---Ike says the album is finished, but you know, I hate to say it, but I see that a little like the Boy Who Cried Wolf……I’m a little afraid to get my hopes up, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and a smile on my face tonight anyway.  Let me know what you think of the new chapter—you never know, you might influence the outcome of the story!!!                                         byebye from krystal

Update October 28th

Good grief, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?!  I haven’t passed away or become a Justin Timberlake fan and deserted the site or anything.  I have just had a bear of a time getting out this last chapter.  But, I do have about ten or so pages done of it, so it won’t be too long (sounds familiar doesn’t it?).  I did actually finish the Halloween story from last year, The Moonlit Night.  I know a few of you had asked about it, so now, it’s actually finished!  It’s not chapters, just scroll down to where I left off before (or better yet, just re-read the beginning, it’s been a dang year after all!)  Let me know what you think of it and have a Happy Halloween!!!
