![]() Jason Fackler
was born in some hospital in Lousiville, Kentucky during the bleak
morning hours of November 11, 1975. He began writing at 10 years
old in response to a Young Authors Contest held in St. John's
Elementary School. His story, "Day of the Drades", won first
place in the school, and was a finalist in the area.
After that, writing was not a huge priority until high school, until personal narrative and short story assignments began to make him realize that this was one of his true loves in his life. His first major accomplishment was the completion of his first novel, BLOODLUST: The War of the Fang, which in its first edition was approximately 95,000 words. He has written several short stories since that time, and has revised the previously mentioned first novel. Its second edition is approximately 145,000 words long, and the author is actively trying to find an agent and/or publisher to take it on for publication. In 2004, Jason Fackler joined the National Novel Writer's Month challenge and succeeded in submitting over 50,000 words of a novel in only 30 days. He finished the project, BLOODFEUD: The Beginning of the War of the Fang, on December 7th, 2004 with a word count just shy of 80,000 words. PublishAmerica offered Jason a contract for, BLOODLUST: The War of the Fang, on September 24, 2004. Unfortunately, after reviewing the press surrounding the company, Jason decided it was not in his best interest to publish with the entity. Jason Fackler lives in Brandenburg, Kentucky with his son, Logan. He works as a paramedic in Louisville, Kentucky when he is not writing or taking care of business with his son.
