Compiler's note: This session was one of the shortest on record.
mainly because i had to work later in the evening and i've sort of
had an overfull plate of late. As such this summary will be fairly
short.
It wasn't looking good. Cordelia knew there was too much on their
plate. Vampires to stalk with no Desiree in sight and no real plan.
Too many problems to handle. But Cordelia was undettered. She decided
that she had to get moving. First of all she sat down Thomas and had
a short heart to heart with him concerning the weird events he's
witnessed. Thomas allowed as much that he had some questions but that
he trusted Cordelia ,even if she insisted on toying with the occult
as many rich people did these days. Reassured, she dispatched him to
go fetch Emily for a meeting.
Some time later, Emily arrived and the meeting commenced. while trying to figure out what to handle next. Emily began discussing her bizarre dreams. This disconcerted the others (which is sheer hypocrisy on Jules's part, considering his visions of the future.) Weirded out by the strange imagery, They came to no good ideas about what to do next.
But Emily did. Privately she resolved to go see her mentor Dr.Cross. and had Thomas take her there. She found him out front in the guise of the blind man she had seen before outside of the Societas de occultum.
He was not forthcoming about her visions. in fact he became visibly agitated when she questioned him about them. Insisting that he couldn't tell her what they were all about. He hinted that he might be able to tell somebod else.
At that moment, Cordelia arrived with an intent to tell emily something which went away as soon as she arrived. Puzzled by this, she asked Emily what was happening, Emily asked Cordelia to talk to the pale eyed man and maybe find out what this was all about.
(I am not at liberty to divulge what occured here. all will become known in the fullness of time...unless of course it isn't. :D )
After speaking to the increasingly agitated Dr. Cross, Cordelia and Emily went home. Now Cordelia had a big secret to keep. She was able to tell Emily that the House and the man in her dream were some sort of nexus of event. Beyond that they still had no real idea of what it all meant.
Upon arriving home, Cordelia repaired to Robert's study to think about what she'd learned. She found robert's journal open to the address that she hadn't looked into. 166 W. Rudge hill. She knew for a fact that she hadn't left it open. Resolving to deal with this lead, She gathered her team together and set out for north london.
Rudge Hill was a slightly suburban area. The instructions next to the address said to chalk an "x" on the post box. When she did this, the door opened abruptly and the cabal was set upon by a burly man with a hunting shotgun.
Cordelia spoke quickly and calmly. They explained what had led them there. The man seemed mollified and apologized for pulling the shotgun on them. He explained that he couldn't answer their questions nor could the master because he wasn't there. Inquiring as to who the master was they were shocked to discover that the man's master was none other than Aleister Crowley.
The next day, Cordelia decided to set out for Boleskine House, in Scotland where Crowley was hiding. Telling Emily's parents that they were going to the country for the weekend, and securing Jack's promise to look after Justine and Sarah. They set off from the station and took the train to Inverness. They stayed at the colorfull Dog's Rash Inn and the next morning set off in search of Loch Ness.
After some roundabout directions, they finally arrived at the lake. To Emily's growing horror, Crowley's home was the house on the lake in her first dream. They discovered the front door was unlatched and they let themselves in.
The place appeared desserted. They were trying to take in the scope and depth of Crowley's collections of Erotic art when they heard a horrifying scream from upstairs. Searching the house quickly, they came upon Crowley in his ritual room.Naked, covered in egyptian script, and within the summoning circle at least 35 seperate and distinct prime signatures of a spiritual nature.
What will they do? Emily is afraid she knows. Tune in next time.
