Additonal notes:Gield's native language is French. He can speak and read english. Possesses Ability mastery in Science (chemistry) and Arts (Cooking) Also posseses the Background enhancement Stockpile.

Equipment:When on the job, Geild wears a heavy quilted chef coat and toque which are reinforced clothing. He also carries a bewildering array of edible weaponry. In a pinch, He might be capable of mayhem with a chef's knife or cleaver

Appearance/Clothing Tendiencies:A portly man in his late 30's with a swarthy appearance. He has dark brown eyes and black hair. He wears a neatly trimmed mustache and goattee. his hair is cropped very close and is entirely gone on top of his head. When not out committing crimes, Gield can cut quite the figure of sartorial perfection that only a frenchman can seem to manage.

House,Circle, Influence:Most of the criminal community thinks that Gield is a total nutjob. but they can't help but admit that he's kind of sharp and he pays well when he needs extra muscle. His main sway is over his underlings Melba Peach (an inspired cat burglar and martial artist who is his girlfriend/muse/source of tension) and his two goons Sweet-tooth and Buzz. Interestingly enough, he has become sort of a celebrity among higher powered villians who have had him cook for them. Lady DeWinter still raves about the desert he named after her and even the Ubiquitous Dragon has commented on his command of asian treats. Gield occasionally parleys this noteriety into small favors.

What has gone Before:Gield Montagne is without a doubt a culinary genius. He is also a severe head case. Always highly strung, he went to one of the most exclusive cooking schools in France at a very young age. He was a legacy they had to take him. His father was a legendary chef.

Sadly, Gield was completely indifferent to culinary excellence. Homesickness, hatred of his peers, and low marks combined to make his life a living hell. He began to eat...a lot.

Gield had a professor that had taken an instant dislike to him and who had taken to berrating him and treating him badly. one day while Gield was working on a project for his class just before christmas, this professor came into the kitchen to find him working on some hard candies which were cooling on the shelf. The Chef sampled some and nearly broke a tooth on one of the candy canes. he began loudly berrating Gield until he finally snapped. Taking up one of the candy canes he beat the chef to death with it. 6 minutes later, Gield had consumed the murder weapon and had left the kitchen never to return.

He dropped out of sight for a few years and when he reappeared in America he had become something of a culinary celebrity. he even cooked for the president once. But this celebrity was short lived. His experimentations into the food-making arts had become more devious and depraved and they required constant cash for upkeep.

His criminal activities were unearthed by Branch 9 and he was forced to go underground again. When he reappeared he was Le Confectioneer. The Candy Maker of Crime.

Gield's general M.O. is to commit crimes with gimmicky sweets. Since he's not alltogether great at it, the fact that his entire arsenal can be eaten had confounded more than one district attorney. he has perfected a method of making hard candy that is as hard as case hardened steel until it come into contact with saliva. He's sculpted weapons out Chocolate and he's even created a number of unusual compounds for use with his Custard cannon and his rotary powered Pastry Snoot. He has Kitchen/Lab which is very well stocked with all the necessary materials for his mad experiments and also possesses a large panel truck. One of his most daring crimes involved a Bombe Glasee that was an actual explosive.

More than one operation has involved Melba leaping out of a cake of his exquisite design. if only he had turned his talents to good instead of evil. Epicures of the world would rejoice.

Story Uses

The Loon: Oh sure, he's crazy but not without a certain low animal cunning. Players should not be allowed to simply slam dunk Gield just because he's short, fat, annoying and french. Gield's schemes work mainly because they are so left field nobody sees them coming. Nobody expects the exploding cake. Knives and guns made of chocolate slip effortlessly through metal detectors. Gield can also poison people with completely untraceable combinations of spices. Finally, While Gield is not a martial artist of any sort he is absolutely deadly in a kitchen. In any operation he plans, the escape route is allways the kitchen.

The Maniac: Chef's are famously high strung and ego maniacal. What will the players do when the Eurpoean Culinary Association condemns Geild publicly for his crimes? What will they do when famous chefs of Europe start turning up dead? Flambeed? Fricaseed? Spitted and Roasted? Locked in a walk in freezer? Locked in a walk in pastry oven? How will the players stop this horrific cooking crises?

The Contact: PC's might need to know someone in the criminal world. Of all of these, perhaps Geild is one of the few that is harmless enough to approach for advice about things in the criminal world.
