These plans describe the construction of the simplest and cheapest power drawbar for your milling machine. You can build the power drawbar shown below for about 50 bucks. It just doesn’t get easier or cheaper than this. Using one butterfly impact wrench like the one shown here from Harbor Freight, you can have semi-automatic tool changes on any milling machine that uses a screw type drawbar*.
