January 6, 1926  Boys hauled stack of hay from other place.  We got returns for our calves.  Mine brought $17.66.  Elmer's brought $18.21.

January 7, 1926  We got wood at Mother's.  Cold.

January 8, 1926  Snowed all day.

October 21, 1926  Frost this morning.  We finished cutting cane.

October 22, 1926  We made and hung a gate and picked some apples.

October 23, 1926  We sowed grass seed in morning and picked apples in evening.

October 24, 1926  Rained all day.

October 25, 1926  We got in some feed and pumpkins and dug our sweet potatoes.  Cut our late corn patch and finished cutting cane.

October 26, 1926  Rained.  Boys bought 4 calves from W. T. Peck and son.

October 27, 1926  We went and got calves in morning and sawed some board timber in evening.

October 28, 1926  Elmer went to Etown.  Virgil and I made some boards and got in some feed.

October 29, 1926  I went to Tom Shelton's and exchanged roosters.  Boys got some wood.  Rained.

October 30, 1926  I went to Etown.  Rained all day.

October 31, 1926  We went to church at night.  Bro. Nichols came home with us.


November 1, 1926  Virgil and I made boards.  Elmer and Bob hauled cane and pumpkins.

November 2, 1926  We went to Etown to election.

November 3, 1926  We made boards.

November 4, 1926  Dr. Smith and Virgil Prichards and I went squirrel hunting in morning.  We began covering Mother's barn.

November 5, 1926  We finished covering barn at Mother's.  Ed Ash got 12 bushels of wheat.

November 6, 1926  We dug potatoes and got in feed and wood.

November 7, 1926  We went to John Masters'.

November 8, 1926  I finished digging potatoes.  Boys hauled some pumpkins.

November 9, 1926  Rained and turned cold.  Virgil and I went to Scott's and Ely Sherrard's and got two gilts.

November 10, 1926  We got wood for Mother.  Elmer went to Fenley Masters and they killed a beef.

November 11, 1926  I went to Etown.  Boys opened a mash bed.

November 12, 1926  We got out and spread mash.  Jess Cowley helped today.

November 13, 1926  We hauled mash.  Jess Cowley helped.  We bred our white sow at Fred Wetterer's.

November 14, 1926  We had lots of company.  Mrs. Lee's folks and Laura Dacarcy and Margerette Terral, Fenley Masters' family and Virgil Masters' family.

November 15, 1926  Boys took cows to Fenley Masters' in morning and I went hunting in morning.  We cut board tree and made some boards in evening.  Rained.

November 16, 1926  Virgil and I made boards in morning.  Elmer and Bob hauled in feed.  We all got wood in evening.

November 17, 1926  We began covering the barn.  Rained in evening.

November 18, 1926  Light snow on ground this morning.  Boys hauled manure in morning.  We covered some on barn in evening.

November 19, 1926  I went to Etown.  Boys began gathering corn at Mother's.  Got 3 loads.

November 20, 1926  We finished gathering Mother's patch of corn at her place and put in her part of the fodder.

November 21, 1926  3 inches of snow this morning.  Mildred Sherrard is here this morning.

November 22, 1926  We done jobs.  Snow on ground today.

November 23, 1926  We gathered two loads of corn.

November 24, 1926  We got in some feed.  Made some boards and put some roof on the barn.

November 25, 1926  Rained big rain.  Dr. Smith and his father come to go hunting and it rained us out.

November 26, 1926  Rained.  Nothing doing.  I was at Elmer Hibb's.

November 27, 1926  We cleared and cut and hauled wood.

November 28, 1926  We was at Mother's.

November 29, 1926  Rained.  Nothing doing.

November 30, 1926  We built fence from the gate that goes into the barn down to the spring.


December 1, 1926  We gathered 4 loads of corn and put up stack of fodder.

December 2, 1926  We gathered 4 loads of corn at Mother's place.  New boy at Harley Irwin's.

December 3, 1926  We gathered 2 1/2 loads of corn at Mother's place and put up stack of fodder at same.  Got done gathering corn at Mother's.

December 4, 1926  Boys stacked fodder and hauled in cane in morning and took Saturday evening.

December 5, 1926  Rained in morning.  Virgil's folks was here.  Virgil and I went to Henry Masters in evening.

December 6, 1926  We fixed fence between Lee's boys and my boy's and hung gate that goes into the barn.

December 7, 1926  We gathered 2 loads of corn.

December 8, 1926  Horace Masters got married today.  We done jobs.

December 9, 1926  Rained all day.  Nothing doing.

December 10, 1926  I was at Mrs. Lee's in evening.

December 11, 1926  I helped make boards at Mrs. Lee's.  Boys went to Etown to get load of feed.

December 12, 1926  Rain.  Ben Day and Bob Sherrard was here.

December 13, 1926  I made boards at Mrs. Lee's.  Boys hauled in some cane and moved the hay press to the other place and put it in shed.

December 14, 1926  We killed 2 hogs at Virgil's.  Cold.  15 above this morning.

December 15, 1926  Elmer helped Gertie render lard.  Virgil went to Etown.  Cold.  12 above.

December 16, 1926  Cold.  7 above.  We killed hog.  Hugh Lee helped.  Hog weighed 400 pounds net.

December 17, 1926  Dr. Smith and Virgil Pritchard and I went hunting in morning.  We got wood for Virgil and us in evening.

December 18, 1926  We gathered load of corn and hauled in some cane.  Still cold.

December 19, 1926  We went to church at night.
