became a volunteer firefighter with the German Township
Volunteer Fire and Rescue and have enjoyed it. I am
currently webmaster of their web site. On June 26, 2011 I resigned from

I purchased my first computer and after a number of
updates I am now able to do quite a bit. I was the president of SWIPCUG
until it disband in 2008. (The web site for the last month was still
operating on 1/22/09, but might be gone now---Well the web site was gone today, July

Lately, walking has been a new pastime. I am member of the local American Volkssport Assoc.- River City Ramblers. In 2010, Eva and I have cut back on the walks that are not in the local area. I am their webmaster. RIVER CITY RAMBLERS PAGE |

My wife, Eva, still has connections to Berlin. We love
to visit the city either in person or via the internet. LIVE VIDEO PICTURES FROM BERLIN THAT CHANGE ABOUT EVERY MINUTE This page is in German and they are 7 hour earlier than us.. There are four views. The first one is looking east on Unter Den Linden toward the Brandenburg Tor (Gate). The other pictures (left to right thumbnails under the large picture) looking west. and you can see the Berliner DOM on left side of picture was where the old East German Parliament building (Palast der Republik) located. It was torn down in 2007-2008.. The odd looking building on right is an observation platform and museum for the Humbolt Castle that is going to be constructed in the open area behind it.Then the same one you started with and the final one is the entrance to the Exhibition Hall of Deutsches Historishes Museum with a glass enclosed circular ramp. The web site is run by Deutsches Historisches Museum and has loads of information. You can get most pages in English (right side above picture) but it does not include this page.
