Omar Rodman Crouch 6 (James Thomas 5, William Smith 4, Richard 3, John 2, Richard 1) , born January 27, 1896; died [2] at age 78 at 12:15 PM Friday February 1, 1974 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He and his brother-in-law Percy Crispin Shelton owned and operated a hardware store in Elkton for many years. He was a former sheriff and for 12 years the jailer of Todd County, Kentucky. Married Annie Lucille Adams on October 4, 1922 in Montgomery County, TN.[1], the daughter of James R. & Vertie Adams; she died September 28, 1984[3].

No children resulted from this union.

Miss Lucile Adams and Mr. Omar Crouch went to Clarksville, Tenn., Wednesday and were married. They were accompanied by Miss Mary Lee Page and Eunice Crouch and Ernest Crouch.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Adams of this place and is a very attractive young lady and has many friends.

The groom is a young farmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Crouch, near the city and possessed with such qualities that make a good citizen.

Elkton, Ky.

Omar Rodman Crouch, 78, Elkton, a former sheriff, jailer, and retired hardware store owner, died 12:15 PM Friday, February 1, 1974 at Mid-State Baptist Hospital, Nashville (Tn.), following a short illness.

Services were held 2 PM Sunday at the Latham Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Gordon in charge. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Crouch was born January 27, 1896 in Todd County, the son of the late James T. and Martha Mobley Crouch. He was a member of the Elkton Baptist Church and a charter member of the Elkton Rotary Club.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille Adams Crouch; two brothers, Ed and Ernest Crouch, both of Elkton; four sisters, Mrs. Percy Shelton, Mrs. Bessie Chestnut, Miss Gillie Crouch, all of Elkton and Mrs. Howard Lebkuecher, of Hopkinsville.

Graveside services for Lucile Adams Crouch 87, Elkton, were today at Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. John Gunner officiating.

She died at 5:20 AM Saturday at Covington's Convalescent Center, Hopkinsville, after a short illness.

A native of Todd County, she was born October 3, , 1897, the daughter of the late Martha Bradshaw and James Robert Adams. She was a member of Elkton Baptist Church.

Her husband, Omar Crouch, died in 1974.

Survivors include a nephew, Colvin Lee Hammock Jr., who lived with her.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to Glendale Children's Home, Glendale, which can be made either through the Elkton Baptist Church or the funeral home.
