Emigrated from Austria to US in 1907. Became a Naturalized US citizen in 1913.
Valentine's obituary states he died at 2:50 am in the Decatur and Macon County Hospital emergency room. He was transported via ambulance after becoming ill at home (560 N. Church Street). Coroner Harold Britlinger investigated death which was apparently due to natural causes. Funeral services were held at J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home.
