Henry is recorded in voting records in Hunterdon Co., NJ.
He moved the family to New Garden MM, Guilford County, NC in 1757. Henry and sons James, John and Marmaduke are listed on church records. There were many complaints about Henry and sons Marmaduke and James in the church. Eventually all were dismissed from the church.
Henry next moved to Newberry, SC around 1764 where he purchased 200 acres on July 29, 1764 in Berkeley Co. William Coate was a witness to this transaction. The land adjoined Benjamin Pearson's property.
Next the family is found in Fredericksburg MM records in S.C. The family was reinstated to the Friends here. These church records are lost but Bush River MM records note the acceptance from Fredericksburg.
Henry's will was probated June 11, 1784 in Newberry Co., SC. He owned 260 acres in Hopewell. Church records indicate he had a second wife but her name is unknown.
Henry married Esther Wilson, daughter of Samuel Wilson and Hester Overton.
