General Notes:
Legal documents from name change to RANDOLPH in 1944 refer to him as Harry J. Rampitsch AKA Rambitz. The oral history I received was that Rambitz was a misspelling on the part of a clerk at debarkation on Ellis Island and he and his descendants kept the name.
Name change documents state name was changed to avoid being mistaken for a person of Jewish descent (anti -Semitism was rampant in the US in the 1940's).
Harry served in the Navy in WWII in Philadelphia. He later worked for Buckeye Union Insurance Co. in Cincinnati as an adjuster, then as a safety engineer for NASA in Iowa and, lastly, as Chief Elevator Inspector for the City of Houston, TX.
Cousin Fred Boehm states his family always called him Henry.
Henry married Helen Lee.1 (Helen Lee was born in 1917 and died about 1999 in Decatur, Illinois.)
Henry next married Betty Eileen Hall, daughter of Edwin Guy Hall and Eva Pearl Snavley. (Betty Eileen Hall was born on 4 Oct 1916 in Cincinnati, OH and died on 21 Oct 1988 in Cincinnati, OH.)
Henry next married Lucille I. Bertram.
