"Red River Reiteration"

This is a reductive method linoleum block print, printed in five layers,
then finished up with a few dabs of white oil paint,
depicting an old swimming hole and great rock on the Sheltowee Trail near the
hanging footbridge over the Red River.
Five years in the making (okay, I took two years
off).

For my last exhibit, the gallery director asked me if there was any way I could
include some of my poetry in the show,
and the only way I could think of to do that was to take up block printing again.
This is one of those poems.

This is another of my poems carved for the LASC exhibit, as well as being the
title piece of the show.
It has slightly to do with having aging parents, and children who are no longer
so young,
and may be the basis for a slightly poetic and political children's book, maybe
all carved.

who play at Reggea On the River on the Eel in northern California. Or, as my
kid so succinctly put it,
