Greetings from Moscow,
There was a little fire in front of the Alcoa Russia plant today so I got off the bus to help. The bus was stuck in traffic after the first arriving fire cars (Engines). Our guys from Alcoa station 42 were first on scene and got everyone out safe. The building was an old solid brick structure that had been renovated with new siding and all vinyl windows in the last few months. I suspect the wiring had not been upgraded. The building will be a total loss. The roof and second story collapsed inside. No one got hurt but they shut down the main entrance to the plant at morning rush! It was great to see the crew from Alcoa working a fire ( from back at a safe distance). They have 42 on the back of their helmets. Most of the photos were after the collapse when they pulled back to the outside for a surround and drown. I didn't think about taking photo's until things slowed down and then I remembered I had a camera. Regards, Paul
