Fire guts Hanover Courthouse Road home
A fire gutted half of the roof and second floor of a house at 11410 Hanover
Courthouse Road Wednesday. Hanover Fire/EMS Battalion Chief William E. Jones
said he received the call at 12:01 p.m.
"The first unit responded seven minutes later," Jones said. "There was a heavy
fire in the front of the home, coming through the roof. The companies entered
the rear of the structure and stopped the fire from progressing. No one was
injured, but we lost several animals."
