Governor and staff tour state to view damages (82 images)
During the first week of June 2008,
Daviess County Indiana residents were threatened by
rising flood waters of the White River. Elnora, Westphalia and Bicknell towns
were threatened. Several hundred residents were evacuated voluntarily in the
area. Tornados struck various areas of central Indiana.
Governor Daniels, Lt. Governor Becky Skillman, Indiana National Guard General
Umbarger and IDHS Director Joe Wainscott toured the State and assessed the
