When Indianapolis firefighters first arrived at a reported apartment fire they first thought they had a fire in an apartment above the barber shop in this commercial building. Upon further investigation and completing a primary search they found what appeared to be an electrical fire in the rear ceiling area that had allowed smoke to seep into the apartments above.
At least three occupants were left without a place to sleep. Indianapolis fire department customer services division quickly ramped up and found a place for the displaced residents to at least spend the night.
