Jamie Harris

Jamie joined Headcase in October, 2004 completing the current line-up of the band.  He's been a drummer ever since the age of 10.  He is in his 30's now, and is still bangin' away. A self-taught musician, he learned how to play the drums from friends in his neighborhood. As he got older, everyone he grew up with who taught him how to play got tired of it. Not Jamie, he kept cookin' on the front burner. After graduating from college, he moved around and played in bands in Indianapolis, IN, Houston, TX, and back here in Louisville, KY. During the day, Jamie is a special education school teacher, but when night falls his passion for playing the drums surfaces. He has grown to love all types of music. Everything from the Dave Matthews Band to Sevendust. His main influences are Carter Beauford, Morgan Rose, and Shannon Larkin. Jamie understands that his main job is to be the backbone of the band. He is not a show-off, and he won't tell you how good he is. You will have to come see Headcase play and decide for yourself.  Jamie plays Yamaha drums with custom Digital EFX Wraps finish (see below), Paiste Signature Series cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and LP percussion accessories.

Enjoy some pictures of Jamie's Yamaha Kit that was wrapped by Digital EFX Wraps at 11710 Shelbyville Road - Louisville, KY 40243 - 502-245-1782.  The kit used to be a plain wine color, but we like the new graphic much better.
