Purity Class

Purity Class is a youth class that has been around for many years in the Church of God In Christ since 1926 by the late Mother Elinora C.J. Johnson.  The auxiliary helps young people deal with everyday life issues.  The Puritans are engaged in discussions, dramatical skits, poems, crafts, activities, and games.  The youth are learning the importance of a high standard of living, fellowship, leadership-skills, community involvement, visiting the elderly, managing money and time, goal setting, and career choices;  knowing how to keep and respect and bodies {abstinence}, respecting others/ true Christian virtues, and decision-making based on our own values/beliefs.

In this world there are many pressures to engage in life-threatening activities and all kinds of acts of immorality.  But through this auxiliary, we use the direction of the scripture to deal with these things.  The youth then have the tools they need to live healthy productive lives, saving even some from death: and one day becoming the vessel that can be used for god’s glory.

Our motto is “Let therefore Purity reign!”
