The P&L hosted a steam excursion with NKP 765. The excursion was a flop but the rail fanning was great. In this shot the train is headed south parallel to US 31w or our Dixie Hwy. My wife was holding the wheel while I was taking pictures (dangerous but fun).

When 765 returned to Louisville a friend who works for the P&L put me in the cab while the crew worked the train into Oak street yard. The crew of a steam Locomotive really have to work to keep those monsters running.
