Two of the NS's newest units sit side by side at DI tower on the KY side of the Massive Kentucky & Indiana terminal Bridge over the Ohio river. Both Trains are out on the bridge and over into Indiana
so both of these trains are in Kentucky and Indiana at the same time. The K&IT bridge is double track and has two auto lanes outside of the main structure (one on each side) that were used when Louisville had only one other bridge. And yes it was a toll bridge.
The auto lanes are no longer in use except by NS personnel. When
I was young we called it the singing bridge because of the open tread design of the roadway made a singing sound when you drove across the bridge. it was also kind of scary for us kids because you
could see through it. Great photo OP's on both sides of the bridge.
