SAUCES
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup olive oil
6 cloves garlic, sliced paper-thin
1 2-ounce can anchovies
freshly ground black pepper.
Melt butter over moderate heat, do not allow to brown. Add olive oil, garlic, anchovies in their oil, and pepper to taste. Blend and cook until anchovies ae dissolved. Pour over cooked fish, spaghetti, or linguine.
