Magnus is a battle-hardened soldier. While not craving command, he often finds leadership thrust upon him in situations of need. He prefers to find the best course of action through consensus of the Autobots under his command. If that fails, he is perfectly capable of making hard, and swift decisions on his own even if others may disagree. Magnus is among the strongest, and most respected of all of the Autobots, but is often overshadowed by his brother in arms Autobot Commander Optimus Prime. This does not appear to bother Magnus, whose true goal is for that of the “greater good.” On the outside he is cool steel in battle. On the inside, simmers a keen fear of failure, not to himself, but to those under his command, which is why he prefers to remain a soldier. The feeling of responsibility for comrade’s deaths under his command can weigh heavily on him at times.
Magnus’ previous body was partially destroyed, not by battle, but by a powerful super nova burst when attempting to evacuate a planet who’s star was in the final stages of a super nova. Magnus laid dormant for a time, when a lone escaped minicon came across him. The minicon Ultra reactivated Magnus, and rebuilt his body, but at a price…. (see entry for minicon Ultra).
While Magnus now has a new truck mode, and a full singular robot mode, he also now has the capability to merge with other Autobots, but is restricted in becoming only the top half of a merger duo-bot (see entry for minicon Ultra).
